Bit of a slow day today- no Godzilla =( 'cos of motorcycle championships so I basically worked on DBMS after lunch from 2-7pm, then continued from 8-11pm....doing Java applications with Notepad is a pain! But I have done 80% already, which is great! Didn't do much else today, did spend 2 hours in the morning d/l the Java2 docs...called Mary and Choon a couple of times to talk about DBMS...oh well I guess its time to sleep now- after all tomorrow is my 2nd last Datacomm lecture!

Expectations for tomorrow:DataComm in the morning, then finish DBMS and copy DataComm homework :(

Had a long memorable dream last nite, one of these days I'll put a description up. I went to the bank this morning to deposit a cheque for mum, then went to kolej to do my part of the JSP...hehe presentation on Tuesday, and I still had many bugs to fix :) I bumped into Sue-Yi on the way up, apparently she had an AI lecture this morning, probably because many classes have been cancelled lately (due to certain oversleeping students :) I was the only one in the RL until 11.30am, which was when Mary came to work on the DBMS assignment, Terence joined us at 12. Mr.Lim dropped by and Terence wanted to show him the new look of the database when suddenly unexpected bugs showed up! Hehe so Terence had to start working on them ASAP. I managed to get my book from Matthew, one year after KJ borrowed it hahaha :) Michelle was in the comp lab too, but I didn't want to kacau her, she's got so many assignments due next week. I went back to the RL, continued work, Mary left at 1pm, Terence at 2pm, I continued on until 2.30pm which was when I went to Carrefour to tapau BK and some Ice Moccha, then went back to the RL and ate while watching Voyager. I continued working, even went to see Andrija since I was bored...I guess lecturers are sorta like distant friends who hang around longer than the usual ones...though Andrija's recursive conversation can get pretty tiresome :( I managed to finish up everything around 5.40pm, so I watched another ep of Voyager, then out of curiousity I ran Direct Connect and discovered that the uni line is back! Hahaha so I d/l some new SNL Jeopardy, even managed to find some eps of Enterprise, the new Star Trek show. I stayed until 7.40pm, which was when I went home...gotta start work on DBMS.

Expectations for tomorrow: Godzilla! Followed by DBMS, which I MUST finish tomorrow.

Friday, October 12, 2001 (10:16 p.m.)

Slept at 5 AM yesterday...KJ was the first to sleep, then Georgi and Tuck, then it was only me and Mon until 4 something which was when she had to doze off...still had problems with the JScript game, not sure how to fix. Anyway I woke up at 9am, went online for a bit b4 going to kolej and reaching at 10.10am. Mary didn't have the key so she was at Mr.Lim's- funny story: Mylini found a frog trying to jump into the library entrance on the 3rd floor, how funny! She got Hero to put it in a box and she let it out on the ground floor where it belonged hehe....Mary, Giant and I went to the RL, I showed Mary the other JScript code, hope she can understand...she worked on the DBMS assignment while I continued work on the other's JScript...haiyar, so tricky...eventually I had to stop and go for prayers, so I hope they managed to finish their project in time...

When I reached home I slept for a couple hours- rolled over my specs in my sleep and seriously bengkok one side of it...luckily with some bending and hammering I managed to get it back to 90% original shape, phew! I watched the Sliders repeat at 4pm, then tried to sleep again...dunno how but I managed to sleep for another couple hours...watched Hudson Hawk while eating dinner, then watched Sliders until 10pm, right now I want to sleep but I can't, so tired and dunno what to do....

Expectations for tomorrow:My HDD still isn't ready so I guess I'll stay at home...need to study..

Thursday, October 11, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Woke up at 9am today, reached kolej at 11 something and sold my copy of Pool of Radiance to Nicky Chua for RM10 (no profit of course heh), then went to the RL to find Ian and Yu Hock there...Weng Ke wasn't around, though his room looked a bit odd- lots of unwashed dishes on the floor, a loaf of bread on the table, briefcase and and computer still on...dunno where he went 'cos he never came back. Ian managed to photostat the questions from Wei Lee, so at least we got the questions, but no lecture notes! We all had lunch in the RL, then the 3 of us drove to Choon's place and did the work there...we watched Astro, lazed around,eventually finished the work, watched Sliders then Ian, Giant and I went back to kolej (Giant went home), Sue-Yi, Darren and Yunita joined us in the RL...Ian went home at 6pm, and the rest of us camped in the RL waiting for Kah Wai until he eventually came at 8.10pm. I spent lots of my camping time talking to Pui Mon, we even talked on the phone for a short while hehe =)=) Dinner was at Shakeys, we actually had too much food so Yunita had to tapau 2 pieces of chicken, the meal cost us RM20 each(!)...Kah Wai sent me back to my car and I went home, went online and continued the script work..fortunately Mon and the others have done most of the work already, guess I couldn't help much :( but at least I can help Mary and Terence :)...Mary called a couple times about our Java assignment, right now I'm trying to figure out a way to improve the script...

Expectations for tomorrow:Go kolej in the morning to explain the JScript to Mary, then go home and study OS.

Wednesday, October 10, 2001 (11:59 a.m.)

Left my house early and was in Federal highway at 7.30am, which normally means I would be at kolej by 8am, but dunno why there was a MASSIVE jam there, like 4 times more cars than usual, and almost no cars leaving subang-side(also unusual)....its like everybody was leaving town! LDP also had a similar jam- what's going on? I was stuck in the Federal until almost 9am, reached class just in time but everybody was late including Dr.Hiew. The tips he gave were nothing we didn't know alredi, so I guess coming early was a wasted effort. The MONSAS lady came to give out survey forms for class evaluation- hehe she mistook Mylini for a student 'cos she looks so young! :) Class ended early so I went to the RL with Mary, Terence, Yu Hock and Ian...Mary and Terence were working on their Javascript, and since Pui Mon seemed so berstress about it yesterday and Mary also macam nak tarik rambut keluar aje, I thought I might as well try to help out too. I found a good website, the code was a bit difficult to understand though, I read it for a bit then went to Pyramid with Yu Hock and Ian. We went to the IT World for Ian to buy a mouse, then we had lunch at McDonalds- Choon, Sue-Yi, Yunita and Darren joined us, then later Kah Wai and Tracy joined us, and finally How Khang joined us...it was close to 1pm (time for DBMS) so Yu Hock, Ian and I took leave of the others, I managed to buy a rose and card for Sue-Yi (rose prices went up....RM5 just for a stalk...why?) and a sweet for Mary, then we went back to RL sekejap, and went for DBMS with Mary(20 mins late).

After class we went back to the RL, as expected the whole gang was there, I gave Sue-Yi the rose (hehe she laughed since I wrote Rational Rose in the card...its the name of our UML program) =) then after staying a while until about 3pm I went home. I reached home just in time to watch the repeat of Sliders (since last nite I had to watch Stargate), then rest a while b4 looking at the JScript code...talked with Mon online for a bit, then started to convert the script to VB, since Dungeoneer (a game I was working on last year) could easily be adapted to use the script...I went to Bangsar at 7pm, bumped into Joshua and talked to him for awhile in front of MPH, then went home and continued work for a bit b4 watching Sliders hehe- then I went online at 10pm, worked with Mon until 2.30am I even managed to finish coding the VB part and figuring out the script by 1am, and searched for a way to implement keyboard support b4 giving up and going to sleep...

It's Zurina's birthday today! I forgot to send her a card last week, but thanks to Georgi, I managed to get a card delivered to her today =)

Expectations for tomorrow:Go kolej late, finish up Datacomm then rush home to work on JavaScript.

Tuesday, October 9, 2001 (11:24 p.m.)

Woke up early today, but I knew I was about to cure the backache which has been bothering these past couple days, so I slept a bit longer and opted to skip kolej. Instead I spent the day studying OS, watching JAG, Sliders and Stargate. Then at 10pm I bericqed a lot with Mon and KJ b4 going to sleep close to midnight.

Expectations for tomorrow: Go kolej early and leave at 3pm latest 'cos I have to watch the 4pm repeat of Sliders. Oh, and study OS too ;)

Monday, October 8, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Reached kolej b4 8am today to find Sue-Yi, Darren, Yunita and Mr.Lim in the RL- wow this is the first time I've seen them at this hour ('cept Lim of course)..I went to see Mylini and she accepted the programs which I wrote but she wanted printouts of the output, and since there was no comp available I went to Lab 5- Joe, LiHao, Terence and eventually Mary and HK, Ian and Giant came too. I found out I did 2 questions wrongly, and even forgot to do part of one question (!) so I had to retype my C program and print it out luckily by 11.15am. After Terence finished his work we all went upstairs to hand it in to Mylini, then went for lunch at Medan. After that I managed to convince the others to go buy a baloon for Mylini, dunno how but we ended up buying 10 ballons (!) for John VV, Mylini, Hiew, Donald, Mr.Lim, Weng Ke, Gordon, Loke Kar Seng, err...then we walked back to kolej, hid them in the RL and went for OS prac.

Mylini was pleased to receive her balloon, and since today's prac didn't require any work, everybody disappeared after an hour 'cept me, Joe, LiHao, Wei Shiung, Tracy and Kah Wai. Joe and gang tried the prac questions for a bit b4 giving up, I kept on at it until I encountered a bug in Q2. Mylini and I spent an hour debugging it - she taught me how to kill all those pesky processes in Unix too (yay!) and eventually we found the problem (just a simple naming error- haiyar) and the class ended just before 4pm. After a bit of waiting, Kah Wai, Ian, HK, Choon and I went to Subang in Kah Wai's car to play games- first we played Rally for an hour (didn't really enjoy that) , I tried out Operation Flashpoint for a bit, its not bad. Then we played Team Fortress until 7.30pm, and that was real fun! I love playing the spy :) Ian had to go back, so after we sent him we went to kolej, waited for Darren, Sue-Yi, Tracy and Yunita to finish up b4 going to Bidara for dinner. After that we went home. I slept early for a change, around 11pm I think.

Expectations for tomorrow:Go for Datacomm tute+lect then go home early to watch Sliders..
