Sunday, October 21, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Woke up late today- 8.20am :( considering that I planned to wake up at 7am heh...I managed to finish up OS chapter 6, then went to watch Godzilla, to discover that TV3 had decided to preempt to show motorcycle championships again! Its as though these events aren't scheduled, and TV3 suddenly realises 'Oh no, there's racing today!' and they preempt my fave show...:( Oh well that's ok, it gave me more time to study :) I spent the day reading C++, all the lecture notes until 5.30pm, then slept until 9pm, went to get some ice moccha but the mesin in 7-11 still rosak...but the drive+nap did me some good, so I guess I don't need the coffee.

I spent a lot of time online from 10pm onwards, bericq with KJ, Mon, Yu Tang etc. Pui Mon called me just after midnight and we talked for a few mins while I munched on my fruit..not sure what to talk about though, so our conversation was short heh- nvm, maybe after our exams =) I stayed up until 2.30am d/l Stargate eps, and chatting with LiHao and Choon while studying C++..hope tomorrow's exam is OK..

Expectations for tomorrow:Go kolej a bit late, CSE2305 in the afternoon then rush home to study OS.

Saturday, October 20, 2001 (09:38 p.m.)

Bit of a waste today...I went to the RL this morn, Ian and I checked the RL and couldn't find the key- poor Michelle, all her stuff was left behind last nite- car keys, wallet, books, everything! Yu Hock joined us and we started poking around, no luck- they asked Mylini some OS questions, we kacau Mr.Lim a bit but couldn't bring ourselves to tell him the key was missing :( then we saw Donald and couldn't bring ourselves to tell him either! I just hope a lecturer like Loke, John, or Ergun Dogan took the key 'cos if a student found it we're doomed..Michelle came too and got her essential stuff from the RL, she called Mary to tell her the bad news then Mary called me- after that I went home, had lunch and watched Three to Tango (a movie starring Chandler, that Practice guy and Neve Campbell)- quite good movie, though it did waste my time. I studied OS from 12.30pm until 3.30pm, had something to eat, then slept until 8 something =( I don't understand what is wrong with me lately....berbanyak tidur...I'm still 230 pages behind in OS, and I have to finish as much as possible tonight, hope I have the energy...I went online, chatted with Mon, then called Yung Sing b4 getting back online again hehe..

Fahmi called me at 1 AM, after weeks of pestering by both me and Halina haha :) Unfortunately whatever cerita I wanted to tell him flew from my mind, so we didn't really talk very long..just about his part-time job, and his plans during hols...then I studied OS, almost finished Chapter 6..slow progress :(

Expectations for tomorrow:Study C++, hafal all the important stuff and finish the sample Q's

Friday, October 19, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Woke up late today, can't believe I slept for 14 hours! I wasn't even tired...anyway I studied quite a bit of OS, went for prayers then got some lunch from the new vegetarian restoran- most of the food was finished though, so I settled for nasi lemak, not bad too :) Then I got my tau-foo-fa from my regular guy, bought some stuff from TMC, got an ice moccha from 7-11 then went home. I watched Martial Law, studied for a while then watched the Sliders repeat (missed it last nite), studied some more until 9pm, which was when I watched Sliders until 10pm. Michelle called to tell me she lost the RL key :( tough luck really this has been a very unlucky semester for her...the main prob is that not only is Mary in trouble, but Dr.Hiew might suspend our RL priveleges for losing the key =( I had half a mind to drive over right away to help search, but thought I'd better postpone it until morning- I continued studying until 1.30am, went online then slept at 2am. Not bad, only 250 more pages of OS to study!

Expectations for tomorrow:Check the RL in the morn then rush home to study.

Thursday, October 18, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Woke up a bit early today and started work on C++- had a few problems but managed to finish it around 11am, then started working on datacomm tute 9...I think I copied 75% of Choon's work, and it still took me 3 hours 'cos I still had to understand what I was copying first! By the time I left my house it was 2pm, no time for lunch either, just a KitKat from BP on the way. I reached kolej close to 3pm, handed up DataComm and C++, got the OOSE notes from the shop then hung around with Choon, Joe, Yu Hock and Ian in the RL until 4pm b4 going home. I lazed around a bit, read some OS, surfed the Net then slept at 7.30pm.

Expectations for tomorrow:Stay @ home and study OS.

Wednesday, October 17, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Woke up late today, watched Sliders then realised I left the OOSE stuff in the RL- luckily a quick call to Joe solved the photostating prob. I finished the DBMS and did more C++ before going to BK at 11.45am to tapau lunch, and 7-11 to get an Ice Moccha- reached kolej at 1pm exactly, Mary, Joe, Choon, HK, Yu Hock and Ian were in the RL doing work so I hung around for a bit, went to see Mr.Lim about DBMS, Dr.Hiew about ink and Donald about paper. I stayed in the RL, eventually managed to print everything and hand up DBMS to Mr.Lim. Class was at 3pm, Mr.Lim gave out sample questions, then I went for DataComm where Weng Ke discussed exam answers until 5.40pm. Since it was too late for me to go home, I was forced to stay back in the RL with Joe until 7pm. Geraldine dropped off our tute answers shortly after DataComm, that's nice of her :) LiHao made the error of going back at 6pm, he was stuck in a crazy jam :( Ian didn't stay long either, he just presented to Mr.Lim and left. I was in no mood to do work, so I just surfed the net before leaving. I had dinner at Subash b4 going home- watched Sliders, quite a good ep, I think I'll record the repeat tomorrow. Then I almost finished C++, watch Drew Carey and Whose Line until 12.30am, then slept at 1.30am.

Tuesday, October 16, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Woke up extra early today, managed to bring my comp to the RL by 7.40am, had breakfast too. Oh funny thing is that while I parked at the foyer to drop off my comp at the security office, that Proton Saga which overtook me to drop someone off was driven by Yu San! Hehe...pity I didn't see her. I started to copy (and burn) downloads from the RL comp, Joe joined me to do his DBMS work 'cos his house comp rosak...I was watching the continuation of the Enterprise ep I was watching yesterday, so I skipped DataComm tute hehe. I did go for OS at 10am though, it was no big deal since Mylini was discussing Assignment 1, Hiew even cut in at one point to discuss the Sleeping Barber problem, which I don't really care much about. Poor Mylini didn't get to finish discussing the question she was working on with us :( After class I went for DataComm, Weng Ke gave out the past year papers and discussed some questions :) Oh, I got my OS Assignment marks today- I got full marks! Its a pity my bonus marks didn't spill over into my Assign.1 marks heh :)

I camped out in the RL working on the JSP, had lunch with Yu Hock and Ian at 2pm, then showed Mr.Lim my DBMS assignment before doing some testing in 3.14 to make sure our JSP could run properly heh- Ian found some bugs in our prog but I managed to fix it in time. The presentation started at 4pm, it was supposed to be for the whole BusIT faculty, so I was quite nervous of course. Only Mary, Lihao and myself were there, Terence and HK weren't around. Fortunately the juniors presented their first-year project, not bad their graphics programming is quite good. Terence came just in time for us to present, in the end it was up to me and him to do the talking, Hiew found another bug in our prog (darn!) but overall I guess it went OK, probably 'cos I'm more comfortable with our IT lecturers (??). After the presentation I went back to the RL, stayed with Mary, Joe, Ian, Darren and Yunita, I was busy doing C++. Mary left at 6 something, I stayed until 7.30pm- only Ian and I wanted to go for dinner, the others were so busy they didn't want to eat(!) so we ate near SJMC, I sent Ian home then went home myself.

There was no Stargate, which is good in a way 'cos now I don't have to be home b4 9pm on Tuesdays. I taped Sliders, worked on C++ a bit, ended up watching the eps of Enterprise which I d/l heh...then I went to sleep around midnight.

Expectations for tomorrow:Photostat OOSE questions, hand in DBMS, finish C++.

Monday, October 15, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Woke up darn early today, reached kolej at 7.30am. I asked Mr.Lim some questions about DBMS, looks like I got to make some changes to my assignment. On the plus side, most of the d/l in the RL had finished, and I had got 3 eps of Enterprise! I watched 3/4 of the pilot, its actually not bad despite my low expectations :)...I had to go for DataComm at 9am though, so tak sempat tengok habis..the lecture was oklar, no big deal. After that I went to the RL with Choon, Ian and Joe- I spent most of my time trying to copy and understand Choon's tute, I didn't even have time for lunch. I also tried with Terence fixing the jsp's to run on one comp, we encountered lots of problems, but luckily managed to solve them and show Dr.Hiew at around 2.30pm, he made a few comments as usual, but I don't think we have time to implement the changes in time for tomorrow's presentation. I finished copying the tute, handed it up then reached home by 4pm.

I felt a bit tired so I watched the Sliders repeat, then slept until 8.30pm, watched the new ep of Sliders, went online for a bit, then slept early.

Expectations for tomorrow:Bring my comp to RL, stay there until 7.30pm. Big presentation tomorrow!! :(
