Sunday, October 28, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Reached kolej around 8 something in the morning (had breakfast at Jaafar b4 that), hung around watching tv shows until 10.30am, which was when Ian joined me for a bit. He went to the foyer to study, How Khang came for a bit then joined Ian. I stayed in the RL until 12pm, then went for lunch at Jaafar with HK and Ian. Yu Hock joined us midway, then we all went back to kolej (well, Yu Hock went home first, but he joined me in the RL). I studied after that, monitoring my downloads....Choon joined us at one point and played Star Control :) Kah Wai joined us and brought Die by The Sword, installed it on a couple of comps and we watched him play- HK and Ian dropped by off and on to take breaks, Sue-Yi dropped by for a bit too but went to the kantin to join Terence, Darren and Yunita. Yu Hock joined them too at one point, so it was just Kah Wai and me, we watched a funny movie called 100 Girls, but I hadn't downloaded the 2nd half of it- luckily I managed to find a guy who had it :) While the others went to Tuna Twist for dinner, Kah Wai, Yu Hock, Ian and I went to Pyramid.

We had dinner at McD's, after a bit of pestering I managed to get a free tiny cup of Fruitade heh, I'm a real cheapskate ;) After dinner we went to the IT World to check modem prices (Kah Wai's previous one met a lightning bolt), then went back to the RL, dropping Ian @ home first. Yu Hock joined the others to study so it was just me and Kah Wai again, we hung around a bit then went downstairs and joined the others, they all left at 11pm, but I stayed in the kantin on the phone with Mary until 11.30pm before heading home.

Expectations for tomorrow: DBMS paper, followed by Pyramid, then home.

Saturday, October 27, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

What a fun day today! I brought Star Control 3 and installed in on one of the comps, and Yu Hock came around 9am and we both had fun playing it again and reliving old memories :) Mary came too looking for Mr.Lim, she stayed and played Sims while waiting, but he didn't show up :( Ian came in the late morning, he and HK went to the library. At 12 something the 4 of us went for lunch at Medan, then Yu Hock and I went back to the RL to continue with Star Control while the others went back to the library. Choon Ling, Darren and Yunita dropped by after 2pm, Choon stayed....a short while later Kah Wai came for a short while too :) We studied a bit, played games a bit, ah it was ok.

At 4 pm I went for tea with Abang Das then rushed back to kolej- made it at 6pm, everyone had left except Yu Hock. The OOSE marks were out too, I was among the lowest scorers for the exam- 31.5/55, but its alrite since I still end up with a D for my overall grade. Since it was raining Yu Hock couldn't go back yet, so we installed Armada on one of the comps, tried out a couple of mods- eventually his hunger was too great and he ran home in the rain, too bad though 'cos the B5 mod for Armada is great! I had a nice fleet of EA Omega cruisers, then a Minbari fleet jumped in and attacked, and while that was going on the ISA(InterStellar Alliance) fleet came in and beat both of us up! Haha it was funny seeing my Shadow-Omega desparately try to destroy the Excalibur =) I could have played it for hours but I had work to do, so I stopped (for now). I managed to master the normalisation stuff(yes!) for DBMS but still have to read up on teori...wow I'm d/l stuff at 128k/sec, weekends in uni rock!

Expectations for tomorrow:Get to kolej early, camp there until midnight same as today.

Friday, October 26, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Woke up at 8am this morning and started studying DBMS- its not as difficult as OS thank goodness...I studied until it was time for prayers, then after that I went to kolej with my comp and set it up in the RL- Yu Hock and Sue-Yi were there, HK and Ian were in the library. I went with Yu Hock to see Mylini about OS, apparently she's busy marking them at the moment, but she said we can discuss the paper next Friday. I did manage to try out the Star Trek mod for Homeworld..it's really cool! Though I wasn't sure what each ship's special function was, it was darn fun sending my fleet of Federation ships to attack the Dominion starbase, only to get beat up BAD haha- esp. the Enterprise-E! The rest of the day was pretty much spent in the RL until midnight. I had a fun dinner with Choon and Yu Hock at Jaafar, we talked for a long time about computer games :) At least now I'm downloading stuff direct to my comp, and with 40GB of space to fill- =)

Expectations for tomorrow:Go kolej early, stay until midnight studying DBMS.

Thursday, October 25, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Woke up really early today and reached kolej at 7.30am, I'm glad I've gotten back into my morning groove :) No more late nights for me...I watched some more tv shows, realised that there were too many downloads to copy- over 2.7GB! Yu Hock joined me followed by Ian, I tried out the B5 mod for Cataclysm, its no big deal really but it was fun to see Star Furies launching from my Omega destroyer :) I left at 11 something, went to BSN and withdrew almost all my cash :( b4 going to Low Yat. I bought myself a 40GB HDD then went home, set it up with all the partitions and all, and began the slow process of reinstalling all my progs. I studied some DBMS, watched Sliders, then slept early.

Expectations for tomorrow:Study DBMS in the morn, bring comp to kolej after prayers.

Wednesday, October 24, 2001 (06:06 p.m.)

Bit of a lazy day today- I reached the RL around 8.30am, lots of d/l completed- in the last 2 days I've got lots of Newsradio, Family Guy, Seinfeld and the remaining eps of Enterprise downloaded- yay! I started copying my files, went to the library to borrow the DBMS book, knocked on Mylini's door- she almost didn't answer the door like yesterday, but today she did- there was a guy in her room (I wonder if that's why she hesitates to answer the door! Hahaha just kidding) and looks like she hadn't got a look at the OS paper, so no discussion for today. I went back to the RL, Ian joined me and we lazed around for quite a while. I played the Empire Earth demo, its quite interesting, can't wait for it to come out :) Yu Hock joined us after his WWW exam, then Terence, Tracy and Kah Wai dropped by for a bit before going off. Choon and Darren joined us in the RL, they were playing Sims, Choon was streaming it off Ian's comp hehe..:) I left around 2 something, went to McD to tapau lunch and bumped into Tirath and Ah Leow then went home.

I called Mary and chatted for a bit, rested for a while and pretty much lazed about without studying, watched NewsRadio instead...nvm DBMS is still far away..

Expectations for tomorrow:Go kolej in the morning, maybe buy a new HDD.

Tuesday, October 23, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Woke up at 5.30am today, got ready and did some OS reading b4 going to kolej. Not bad, at least I can say I've read 400+ pages of OS textbook :) Not like it did much good though....I reached kolej at 7am, found that quite a few downloads had finished =) but I wanted to do some revision b4 the exam. Ian came followed by Yu Hock and Mary- neither Hiew nor Mylini was around to answer any questions and we hung around until 8.10am before going for the exam. It was one tough paper- I left 38/100 marks blank, which means my max mark is 62%- I left the exam an hour early 'cos I was bored, went to the RL and started testing out some of my coding answers for an exam Q, and found some errors :(...Ian and Mary joined me a short while later...and after a bit of dicussion I think I might fail the paper- well on the plus point Yu Tang said OS isn't a pre-req for anything, so its okay to fail hehe :) Terence was in such a bad mood 'cos he did so badly too, pity we don't have a punching bag in the room..

The others went out for lunch close to 1pm, I stayed behind to copy my d/l to my zip, queue some d/l and then go Low Yat. I was disappointed to find no nice new games were out, only Stronghold, and I wasn't in the mood to play that- I at lunch at KFC then went home, watched the Sliders repeat and slept at 5pm.

Expectations for tomorrow:Go kolej to collect d/l, then laze at home...

Monday, October 22, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Woke up early, studied some C++ and reached kolej at 10am- Ian, How Khang and Yu Hock were in the RL, and gave some good news: they found the key! Apparently Michelle had dropped the key while slipping her assignment under her lecturer's door on Friday night, and she kicked it into the room by mistake- good thing Hiew never found out! We stayed in the RL, eventually most of the CSE gang arrived and we went for the OOSE exam at 1.10pm. It was OK really, Mary & I left an hour early too :) We stayed in the RL, HK joined us at one point, then I left around 4 something. I had a late lunch at Subash, bought myself an Ice Moccha from Starbucks [RM10! :(]. I bumped into Francis on the way to my car, he still remembers my name! Well, he was on his way to the Gospel Centre, so I went home. By the time I started studying it was 6pm, I kept on at it until past midnight, called Mary and Yu Hock off and on, icqed with Mon, KJ, Georgi and Yu Tang too.

I had so much to read I couldn't see how I could get any sleep, most of the others(Choon, Yu Hock, HK,Yunita & Sue-Yi) went to Darren's place to study and eventually my online buddies tidur juga so I went offline- did manage to get all the remaining Stargate eps though :) I was reading the textbook then passed out at 3.30am- I wish I could've seen that happen heh...I woke up at 4.30am, then thought what the heck, sleep until 5.30am and go kolej early.

Expectations for tomorrow:Do badly in OS exam, go Low Yat then come home and sleep.
