Sunday, November 4, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Watched Godzilla today- yay! Today's opponents were a giant armadillo and a horned devil, not that exciting though. I pretty much studied until 3pm, then slept until 6pm before picking up the pen again...dinner consisted of a vegetarian meal from the shop behind TMC, I continued studying at 8pm, called Choon a couple times, even called Geraldine at one point just to check on her. My neighbours a few floors down were busy having a karaoke party, it was really driving me nuts but luckily they stopped at 11pm. I slept at 1 something- instead of studying before I slept I watched Tick episodes! Hahaha....

Expectations for tomorrow:Go kolej in the late morning, have Datacomm exam then probably stay back in RL until dinner time- I look forward to Ian's Carbonara :)

Saturday, November 3, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Woke up at 9am today, couldn't go back to sleep at all even though I knew I needed it. I stopped to buy some nasi lemak, learned how to get coins out of the meter thanks to a passing DBKL pegawai- at least now I know better than to simply anggap a meter as spoiled just because there are coins embedded in it. I reached kolej at 10.30am, joined Ian in doing Datacomm, though I did sidetrack a bit and played Wizardry 8. We went out for lunch at Jaafar with Yu Hock at 1pm, then went back to kolej. At 2 something I was having trouble with the hamming space diagrams so I turned to Mr.Tan for help- 5 dimensional diagrams are hard to think up! In the end he came over to the RL 'cos his computer couldn't run the demo program, he stayed until 3.50pm trying to figure it out, but at least in the end he managed to enlighten my understanding of Neil Clarke's version of the 4D diagram =) Yu Hock came and the 3 of us stayed in the RL- Ian went home at 5pm and the two of us stayed until 7 something, then went to Pyramid. Choon Ling did ring me up before we left and I finally got to settle that Datacomm question I had to ask him.

We had dinner at Kenny Rogers- made the error of trying their baked potato special, what a waste of money! After dinner Yu Hock bought himself a new keyboard and mouse, I checked out some notebooks then went home after sending Yu Hock back. I rested for a while and slept early.

Expectations for tomorrow:Probably stay home and study..

Friday, November 2, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Walked down to McD's this morning and met up with Kah Wai- after a brief stop at the bank we were on our way to Low Yat. He managed to get his modem replaced with another model- never buy US Robotics modems, their quality is very poor. We shopped around for a bit- I bought myself Myth3, MSDN2001, some VB source code and Civ3, and bought Chelim Civ3 and Aliens vs. Predator 2. Kah Wai bought Tekken 3 I think...we went to Imbi to check on my HDD, the guy said I'll be charged RM40 to get my HDD back, since its being replaced with a 40GB instead of a 30GB. Looks like it'll be ready on Tuesday- I'll have 80GB of space to store my junk! Oh dear....after a brief stop at the bakery we made our way to Bangsar.

Unfortunately the route I normally take had changed slightly. At one point where previously 2 lanes could turn right, now one of the lanes was strictly U-turn, but I didn't know about the change so I told Kah Wai to go straight and turn right instead of U-turning (which was what he was about to do). My sudden gesture to go straight made him not notice the motorcyclist crossing in front of us and BANG! the guy fell off his bike and got his leg badly bruised. Several guys hopped off a lorry which was next to us and helped him up, then the 3 of us went across the road to talk. Poor Kah Wai, he managed to get away by paying the guy RM100. And its all my fault too. Though Kah Wai refused the RM50 I offered him, I'll try to give it to him somehow, its not fair that he should lose so much 'cos of me =(

I was just in time to ambil air sembahyang at the mosque, but unfortunately prayers started just as I finished and I had to pray at the lower level with the other late comers. It was only after it was over when I realised my prayer was tak sah- it was in a zone clearly labeled as tak sah for sembahyang berjemaah. =( I'm surprised so many people formed ranks in that zone so quickly, but I guess it can't be helped since the routes to the upper level (where there's always some space) were blocked. I skipped lunch and went home, installed Civ 3 and AvP2 before Chelim phoned me and harassed me over the phone until he got me to come to kolej. I reached at 3.30pm, bumped into Bel and Asmah at the sidegate before passing the games to Chelim at MUSA. I went to the RL, Yu Hock, Ian, Sue-Yi and Darren were there playing TFC. Darren went back at one point, I played TFC with her and we tried UT with Yu Hock at one point. Ian went back quite early so it was just the 3 of us- I managed to d/l the Wizardry 8 demo and its awesome! Sue-Yi went back at 6 something, so it was just me and Yu Hock until 8pm, which was when we went to Carrefour.

We had dinner at BK, we bought ourselves some Ice Moccha and hung around the newsstand reading comp.magazines. Then I sent Yu Hock back, went home and started studying DataComm at 10pm. I called Choon for help at one point but he was playing games at the cybercafe, so no luck there. I was busy doing work until around 1.30am, then played Myth3 until 4.30am hahaha....it's a really great story, classic mankind vs. evil demon-kin type. I had to stay up so late 'cos of the coffee I drank, hope I don't wake up too late tomorrow.

Expectations for tomorrow:Go kolej in the morning, camp there the whole day doing DataComm.

Thursday, November 1, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Woke up early today, got started on the DataComm past year papers- I watched Drew Carey at 11am, then went to the post office sekejap. No time for lunch either, I was busy working until 2 something which was when I had to go kolej. I reached at 3 something to find most of the gang in the RL, Yu Hock's exam was so easy he left 1.5 hours early! Hehehe...I had just enough time to eat my Ovaltine biscuits before we went for our DataComm revision lecture at 3.30pm. It was quite OK I guess, turns out the 2000 paper is a LOT like the 1999 paper, so I'm going to really hafal the past year papers, do the tutes and hope for the best. We finished at 6.30pm, but the pace was quite ok, I didn't feel sleepy at all. After that we went back to the RL, lepak for a bit until 7.30pm, which was when the others went for dinner while I went home.

I watched Sliders, rested for a bit then watched some Tick eps before going to sleep. Looks like I'll be going to Low Yat tomorrow thanks to Kah Wai :)

Expectations for tomorrow:Low Yat with Kah Wai, then stay at home the rest of the day.

Wednesday, October 31, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Bit of a blurry entry today- I recall having fun with Sue-Yi kacauing Mr.Lim, Mylini and Dr.Hiew :) There was also a blackout in the staffroom today, resulting in all the lecturers loitering in the main corridor, and Mr.Lim being funny in the library hehe- the blackout caused the RL connection to die, but we didn't know the cause so Ian and Kah Wai uninstalled UT from 2 of the comps just in case Dr.Hiew was the one who cut off the connection ;) Most of our CSE gang hung around the RL playing games/studying, then at around 7.30pm we went for dinner at Bidara. Terence met up with us to pass the RL keys to Ian b4 going home, then after dinner me, Choon and Darren went in his car to his house- we watched Sliders (well, Darren went out after a few mins) before going back to the RL and playing UT with How Khang and Ian until 11 something.

Expectations for tomorrow: Stay at home for most of the day before going for DataComm

Tuesday, October 30, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

It's Pui Mon's Birthday today!! =)

Reached kolej at 8.30AM, hung around the RL watching shows and playing games in the RL. Yu Hock came at 10AM, we played Team Fortress (I installed HalfLife heh), and I tried out Babylon5 Armada again- this time I played the Instellar Alliance, and they got some darn cool ships- I especially loved ramming my Excalibur ship into Z'hadum...hahaha :) Kah Wai joined us and we finished watching 100 Girls, then played Die by The Sword multiplayer, Sue-Yi and Yunita dropped by for a bit too. But it was getting late, so we all left at 3pm. I stopped by Meidi-Ya to pick up some bread, then reached home just in time to watch Sliders. Then I lazed about for the rest of the day, tried out all the mods for Armada which I downloaded- the Babylon 5 one is still the best! I got to chat with Mon for a bit too, that's always good :)

Expectations for tomorrow:Go to kolej tomorrow and try to finish DataComm past year papers.

Monday, October 29, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Addendum to last Thursday: I went to the mechanic around 7AM, then went to kolej and had breakfast with Weng Ke.

Reached kolej at 6.30AM today, to discover that only Sue-Yi was in the kantin, as expected the others were sleeping. I went to the RL to check on my d/l, then Mary joined me followed by Yu Hock, we studied until the others joined us then everyone went for the DBMS exam. It was quite OK really, as usual I left an hour early with Mary, we stayed in the RL until Ian came, then Mary and I went to Pyramid right after How Khang left the hall. We walked around a bit shopping for birthday presents, then I treated her to lunch at Dave's Deli. After that went to a few more shops, bumped into Chee Han at the pretzel stand, then went back to kolej. Mary went home while I stayed in the RL, I was far too tired to join the others at the cybercafe at 2 something, instead I slept in the RL from 3 to 6.30pm.

I woke up, went to Mr.Lim's room and continued reading my AI book- finished a chapter then went to tapau dinner from Bidara. I watched cartoons in the RL while eating, I think I stayed until 11 something before going home.

Expectations for tomorrow: Go to kolej in the morning, finish watching the movie with Kah Wai, then angkat my comp. home.
