Sunday, December 2, 2001 (11:24 p.m.)

No Godzilla today...I spent my morning reading numerous articles on Islam and Christianity, but eventually stopped at 1pm. No point reading all this stuff if I got nobody to discuss it with :( I went to BSC to pick up some photos, the place had 2 huge Christmas merchandise centres set up inside! As usual, no signs that Raya is 2 weeks away =( I dunno why, but Christmas is being celebrated in a much bigger way than it has in previous years- everywhere I go I see more lavish decorations, more Xmas shopping booths etc. And why can't Raya decorations and Xmas decorations be together? Chinese New Year and Raya can join hands, why can't Christmas? Its sad really....makes me want to avoid shopping centres until its over.

I came up with some ideas for pathfinding AI today, but couldn't come up with a good plan to code it. I slept on it from 3-5, then went out to buy kuih and stuff, came home, called Bel, had dinner, watched Early Edition, Demolition Man then installed Win2k on my comp. I went online for a bit at 11pm, spoke to Choon Ling on the phone then went to sleep early.

Expectations for tomorrow: Go to Low Yat with Yu Hock and Paul, then hopefully see Bel for a couple hours in the afternoon.

Saturday, December 1, 2001 (08:38 p.m.)

Sent the car to Vasu this morning, then accompanied Dad to the dentist before he sent me to kolej. I read quite a bit of my AI book, watched a very cool Batman ep then talked to Mr.Lim about my idea. He said to try something simpler, but somehow I feel that knowing Dr.Hiew- simple won't cut it. Yu Hock joined us and we talked a bit, then the two of us went to the RL. I watched Seinfeld, he surfed, it started raining really heavily so we were both stuck in the room. But it was ok really since my sister was in Summit with Bel and her mum shopping for stuff. I watched Seinfeld, read some online AI articles then Yu Hock and I left when Dad came at 6pm.

We picked up my car- the water pump and fan belt had been changed, now the car is so quiet its like new! =) We went to Gems for dinner, then I came home and called Bel, she's going to Penang sometime this week :( but I'll probably see her on Monday.

Expectations for tomorrow: Stay at home and study AI.

Friday, November 30, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Went for Friday prayers at D'sara today, talked to Amin for a bit after that :) Then I went home and called Anushka at 3pm, haven't spoken to her since June last year. I can't believe she was in KL all this time! I thought she was in Sydney...now she's transferring in February, and since she's in JB now I might not get a chance to see her :( Oh well...at least she's coming to KL for Christmas and Raya so I'll probably see her then :) Shen Han is coming back on Tuesday, that's good..I slept around 4pm, then had dinner, rested for a while before doing some reading on AI and Revolution3d articles...I think I'll program an AI simulation of some sort, using Revolution3d to deliver the pretty graphics. That way I won't need to learn Java3d or DirectX stuff but can instead devote my time to AI theory studies. Too many articles to read tonite, guess I'll catch up tomorrow.

Expectations for tomorrow: Send car to Vasu, go kolej, study AI then help my sis angkat barang in the afternoon.

Thursday, November 29, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Reached kolej at 10.30am, Choon called and told me he passed OS (good!). Mylini wasn't around so I watched an ep of Frasier and managed to catch her at 11. She installed Bangsar Adventures and gave it a go, I showed her my editor as well and she thought the game was interesting, but of course I've stopped development on it due to a lack of a good story. She didn't want to install Grim Fandango since there's a uni policy of not installing illegal software, so after chatting a bit I left just after 12. I hadn't checked my results yet so I went to Mr.Lim's room and checked on his comp- 3D 1C not bad at least I passed OS. I went back to the RL and watched more Seinfeld eps, Ian joined me a while later. He couldn't check his results 'cos of authcate problems, so he was awfully frustrated 'cos of OS fears but couldn't do anything since the admin/IT dept was out to lunch. Yu Hock came and checked his results- HD for OS! We were laughing so much we went straight to Mylini's room to tell her, then I stayed for a bit and berbual-bual for about 10 mins b4 Darren came and told us the bad news. Mylini couldn't offer any help, so Darren and I went to the RL to join the others. I continued my Seinfeld/Batman Beyond/Spiderman ep watching, Terence came off and on too heh :) Eventually I left at 4 something, went home and slept.

After a light dinner I went to my vegetarian restoran for another meal, the lady there actually remembered what I normally order! So nice..=) I came home, watched Sliders then called Harris but he asked me to call back @ midnight since he was having class. I went online and chatted with Mon, phoned Sue-Yi, Mary, Kah Wai and Tracy to check their results...did quite a bit of reading on Islam, pity I don't have anyone to discuss these rather sensitive issues with :( It was interesting to read that the coming of Nabi Muhammad was foretold in Taurat, not the coming of Jesus as most Christians believe. I'll put the link up one of these days..I called Harris at 12.30am and we spoke a bit, but unfortunately it was buka puasa time for him so I had to cut the conversation short (9 mins). I didn't want to disturb Halina yet so I watched an ep of Seinfeld until 1am before calling her- hehehe we had a good 15 minutes! Ah, that RM20 was money well spent =) I wish Harris was coming back though...

Wednesday, November 28, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Woke up early this morning and went to the nearby mechanic to fix my signal light..cost me RM2, maybe I should buy extra bulbs for next time. I called Bel close to 12, talked for a bit then worked on my comp until around 3pm, which was when I went to kolej. I reached around 3.30pm, gave Mr.Lim my documentation then watched some Seinfeld in the RL. Yu Hock came at 4pm, Choon, Tracy and Kah Wai visited for a few mins at 5pm, then it was just me and Yu Hock watching Star Trek, Spiderman and Seinfeld until around 6.40pm, which was when Choon came and we went to Jaafar for dinner. I originally wanted only 2 roti bom, but ended up with 3 which gave me a real overdose of sugar :(

After dinner Choon dropped me at my car and I went to Indah, talked to Terence while waiting for my sis to come downstairs. The two of us went to Pyramid and walked around the shops until 9.30pm, Sue-Yi called me and we spoke a bit, then my sis and I went to Ravis for dinner. After dinner we walked to the cybercafe to visit the rest of the CSE gang who were busy playing Day of Defeat, watched them play a bit then I sent my sis back at 11pm.

I reached home close to midnight, went online and check prayer times for Nottingham and Bristol- Maghrib is at 4pm!! I tried calling Harris- he thought I was someone else entirely so he said 'Hey man I'll call you back in a bit k?' and hung up. I tried calling Halina but she didn't pick up so I thought hmm...maybe they're busy. I surfed online reading articles on Islam which I discovered while searching for the prayer times earlier. I tried calling them again at 1am, both engaged. I tried again at 2am, still engaged. I slept then tried again at 5.30am...still engaged! Perhaps something is wrong with my IDD card...

Expectations for tomorrow:Hang out @ Mylini's room in the morn, then watch tv shows until evening. Oh, and check results too.

Tuesday, November 27, 2001 (11:07 p.m.)

Finally managed to upload 2 weeks of entries today! I couldn't do it previously thanks to some weird win98 bug...couldn't access anyone's pitas except Choon Ling's...at least now that I've formatted my comp the bug is fixed. I reached kolej around 10 something today, saw Vasu, John VV and Mr.Lim waiting outside Meeting Room 3- apparently the LAN ppl were late. I asked Mr.Lim a couple more questions, then went to the RL and set up my stuff before going to kacau Mylini. We talked about Java3d, then about the possible interview questions she and the other lecturers might 'kena' then we went to the Meeting Room at 11am since that was her time-slot....Mr.Lim and the others still hadn't gone in! We stood outside with Loke Kar Seng, Weng Ke, Gordon, Mr.Lim, Vasu, John VV and a few other lecturers for a few minutes until it was the first group's (those 3 guys) turn- fortunately for Mylini her individual session was converted to a group session at 12. We went back to her room and searched for more 3d games, d/l some game made by Swiss students and she was playing it until 12 something. Its some sort of adventure game where you walk around and pick up stuff, incredibly slow 'cos its in Java. After she left for her interview I went back to the RL and watched a bit of Spiderman, then started playing HOMM3 again.

Choon, Ian, Darren and HK came close to 1pm, they surfed and played ZDoom for a bit then left for lunch. Yu Hock came a few minutes after that and surfed the net while I played HOMM3...the others came back from lunch, I went to the other RL to meet up with Jack and Timothy, then the 3 of us waited outside the room until Terence and the LAN ppl came. The interview was okay I guess, though apparently our results WERE important..they asked us stuff about what we learn, where we were from, who was our favorite lecturer (Mr.Lim of course!). After the interview I went to Mylini's room- she had come back from lunch and had continued the game, she had slain 2 rats and got a knife too hehe :) Unfortunately she was stuck in one part and couldn't continue despite clicking in frustration...a search of the website revealed no clues either. I showed her my Applecat Studios website but it was 3.30pm already so I had to go, we agreed to continue on Thursday. Darren, Donald and another guy were waiting outside the meeting room, I checked the RL but it was empty AND unlocked, but I got no idea who was the last one in the room so tough luck I guess. I locked the RL, talked to Darren and Choon before going home, reached at 4.10pm.

After Sliders I slept for a bit, then went online to check email. I tried to sleep again, but tossed and turned until just after 6pm, which was when I decided to call Bel. We spoke until 7pm, I had dinner, called Paul then my sister called to say Yu Hock came over and checked out the room already. I watched Sliders at 9pm, then went online- as expected Mon can't make it tomorrow so I called my sister and made plans with her instead. I watched B5:The Gathering then slept around midnight. Busy day tomorrow...

Expectations for tomorrow: Fix my signal light, then go out with my sis in the evening.

Monday, November 26, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Reached kolej at 10.40am today and showed Mr.Lim the flowcharts I drew. He made some comments and I changed a few things, then Elsa came so I went to Mylini's room and hung around. We talked about some project ideas, then sidetracked into driving in Penang and how we hate motorcyclists (car drivers and motorcyclists don't mix well) until 11.30 before starting working on the document in the RL. Mary called to say she's not coming, I went to see Donald to give him the duplicated keys, but he was busy :( so I just kept working on the document and d/l stuff. Choon came around 2pm and played ZDoom, I showed Mr.Lim my work at 3pm and he requested quite a few changes, looks like I'll be staying up tonight. Yu Hock came, then Terence shortly after that. Terence left early, the rest of us left at 5.15pm.

I ran into terrible jam, almost couldn't make it into the right turn-off. Luckily I made it just in time and reached home close to 7pm. I had dinner, then called my sister then called Yu Hock and asked him to call my sis. I copied stuff from my zip drive, watched Seinfeld and Voyager then suddenly remembered Sliders at 9.30pm. Darn! Looks like I'll have to watch the repeat tomorrow. After that I lazed around for a bit, called Terence at 11pm then slept close to midnight. Didn't do my work again...must be getting lazy.

Expectations for tomorrow: LAN interview...ugh! Its gonna be like SPM Lisan all over again....
