Watched Godzilla this morning- today's opponent was a flock of giant hummingbirds- they flew so fast that they were invisible, so the humans had to build a pair of specs for Godzilla to wear so he could kick their tail-feathers! Fun stuff actually...
Went for lunch with Boon Peng at BK Bangsar around 2 pm- finally got to give him the kangaroo scrotum Khylin, Shen Han and I bought for him from Sydney- we talked for a bit about the jobs he's been doing, then around 3 pm I had to go kolej- ran into a jam (why did I take the Megamall route? Why?) and reached there at 4 pm. Did some surfing, read up some Python, Sue-Yi and Choon came around 4.30ish. At about 5 pm I went out with Abang Siva, Abang Mon and Dad to Jaafar for tea, then came back to kolej buat kerja lagi...talked to Pui Mon and Gina...until 9pm when HK came over. Choon, Sue-Yi and I then went to Jaafar for dinner, I wasn't hungry so I shared a cheese naan with Sue-Yi...We got back to kolej at 10pm and resumed neopetting and logging and pythoning...an okay day actually, got some work done hehehe.
Expectations for tomorrow:Sleepy DataComm in the morning for 2 hours, then 3 hour break to hopefully do OS work, then go home at 4pm and rest..

My friend woke up late this morning, so I gave in to temptation and rushed to Low Yat to buy Max Payne! I haven't been this desparate for a game since secondary school hehehe....I reached KLCC a bit early so I jalan-jalan sikit looking for a present for a friend of mine, then my friend came around 12 and we shopped for a bit and went to watch Planet of the Apes- good show! I want to watch again! After that we went to Strudels to have a late lunch+desert- I had a vegetarian shepherd's pie, she had a chicken salad, and we both shared an Apple Strudel and a slice of Opera cake (it looked interesting, but apparently Opera cake is mostly comprised of coffee, which we both dislike- nvm, next time we'll remember to avoid it heh..). Then we walked around some more- visited banyak kedai baju, kedai kasut, etc., then we both went home around 6pm.
=) I feel quite happy about today's outing =) =) It's a welcome change from the minor ups and major downs of the past 2 weeks...Can't do this often though, 'cos today's outing cost me almost RM50!
I got back around 6.40, tried out Max Payne and it was really fun! But I had to go out for dinner at 7.30, bought a Mocha Freeze from 7-Eleven since I was supposed to go kolej buat kerja with HK at 8.50. Right now I'm in the lab, wide awake and ready to do some Python- but I only got an hour b4 I have to send HK to Pyramid for him to watch movie with his friends...
Expectations for tomorrow:Godzilla in the morning, lunch with Boon Peng, then maybe go to PWTC with Terence and Boon Peng for PC Fair- lepas tu balik kolej buat kerja...haiyo, it sounds like I'm a workaholic, but actually I pergi kolej main-main saja hehe.

I was gonna archive this stuff yesterday, but I thought I'd switch to a monday-sunday archive system.
Tried burning another CD for mon this morning, but my burner giving problems- I got another CD coaster for my collection as a result :( Around 12pm I went to the post office to mail the package- it cost RM8.60!! Plus I had to declare the stuff inside, so I just wrote 'Compact Disc, Bank Draft AUD20, Letter' and I really hope the Aussie customs let the letter reach her (you know, what with their strict anti-piracy crap)....that bank draft is important!
Went for prayers with Fahmi,Amin and Harris- I cut my toe after that so I went to Fahmi's house to balut luka, then we went to Megamall to see Halina and her friends b4 they went inside the cinema- Harris and Amin were slow to arrive of course, but they managed to get the movie tickets in time - Fahmi and I jalan-jalan for a few mins, then I had to go kolej at 3.20 and leave him behind...
My sister called to say I can't see Bel because she suddenly has to go for some church activity at night with her friends- I saw Bel when I reached kolej and she just laughed at me! My god, she's really mean!
I then went to Sunway lounge to talk to my sister for a bit, but she wanted to play computer at her boyfriend's place tonight, so she got no time for me either- how disappointing..=( Supposedly I'll get to see Bel on Tuesday night, but somehow I get the feeling another excuse not to see me will be made up..
Handed in my badly done DataComm assignment just b4 5pm, talked to Weng Kee for a bit, saw Choon Ling and Darren in the labs, then went to the RL to find only HK and SueYi there- I missed our group discussion! HK and SueYi were really into Neopetting, and since I was in a bad mood I did some reading at Gamespy and tried d/l some old games to play only to discover that win2k does not support DOS games!Hmph! Choon Ling came around 6pm after his karate and complained about his training- and to think I wanted to join! Hehehe..anyhoo, I d/l a trailer for Max Payne and it was so good that I wanted to rush to the store and buy it! It's so cool! We went for dinner at Jaafar around 7.30, then we all went to our respective homes.
I just called my friend and she confirmed our outing for tomorrow- yippee!
Expectations for tomorrow:Go out with my friend to KLCC and spend the day there.
Thursday, August 2, 2001 (09:40 p.m.)
Went to kolej a bit later than usual, hung around the RL for 30 mins then went to see Bel in the comp lab. She couldn't give me a confirmation about tomorrow night so I'm supposed to call her later...I have a feeling she'll cancel again. I tapaued lunch to the RL and ate while watching Stargate (it's fun having my own room on campus- well almost mine:) I also finally got a chance to give Jason the nameplate I bought for him, and show him the Clayton photos.
I then met up with Michelle at 1.20 and we went to Medan to buy ourselves some fresh fruit- she also bought me some tau foo fa and we went to the foyer and munched on our food, chit-chat sekejap until 2 pm when she went to see some other friends and I went back to the RL. I did a bit of DataComm, finished watching Stargate- Choon Ling came and started d/l mp3's, a short while later Sue Yi came and did some neopetting and icq-ing. I lied down for awhile until she said Pui Mon was online, so I quickly sat down next to her and tried to talk to Mon a bit- unfortunately Sue-Yi was feeling playful and we had a fun little struggle over the keyboard and mouse- sorry Mon and Gina if you ppl were confused by what we were typing! Terence came around 4 something, I was tired so I went home. I saw Tariq in his car just b4 we entered the Federal Highway, so I got out of my car and waved at him, to receive a feeble wave back- gee, sometimes he can be lifeless too =)
This past week day and night there's been a police checkpoint around the corner near my house(Jln.Penaga)- its been annoying me for quite a bit, and today they actually asked me to pull over! One of them came over, asked for me license and IC and said I was speeding (yeah right! I was going 65kmj in a 60kmj zone), and I asked him 'Kenapa tiap-tiap hari dan malam polis ada di persimpangan ini?' and he said its because of the ppl speeding thru that road- he was quite surprised that I wasn't intimidated by him, and so sent me on my way...perhaps I'll start harassing them next time for a change hehe...slow down and bother them with questions :)
I slept for a while, then called my sister- she said I can see Bel tomorrow- yay! I called Pui Mon also, and used my whole card- darn, should have bought the RM50 one instead of the RM20 one. Maybe in a few weeks time I'll have enough cash to call her again hehehe.
Expectations for tomorrow:Post package to Mon in the morning, go to kolej in the evening and spend some time with Bel at night.

OK, first things first: I don't believe chun girls come from Ipoh or handsome guys come from Seremban/Sarawak! I believe they can come from anywhere! Batu Pahat, KL, umm....Batu Pahat, KL hehehe...
Yu San, my log is just that- a log. You're lucky I don't type out what I used to write down in my book b4 pitas- an hourly account of each day! I write this log mainly to be read by me, so it's expected to be boring stuff. Then again I'm just about as lively as a piece of wood, so my entries will never be exciting- too bad huh?
And now back to the regular log...
Woke up to realise I was so tired I just slept with the computer and lights left on, and still dressed in yesterday's clothes- gosh I'm tired. I got to kolej at 8.30 so I had to park inside kolej for RM2 since I had some valuable printers in the backseat :( I skipped OS to do some C++ work, then went for the prac- we had to hand up our homework! Fortunately he gave us time to finish it up. Michelle overslept and came late, she was just as bad as me so we spent time finishing up her work, then rushing to Carrefour in her car at 12.10 . I sent my printer to the shop there, and the guy took almost 30 mins to process my request! With 5 minutes left before our classes started I rushed to BK to buy lunch while Michelle went to buy some herbal eggs. She then drove back to kolej ASAP but we were still almost 20 mins late for class- how sad, she had to miss part of her lecture 'cos of me :( But nvm, we both blame the guy at the shop hehe...
DBMS was boring, after that was OOSE during which Terence and I looked thru FHM's Top100 issue. I'm glad Weng Ye shares my opinion that Jeniffer Lopez deserves a triple thumbs down =) After that I skipped the following DBMS lecture and went to Bangsar. There I went to Offex.net to send another printer, and sitting on the floor there was my monitor! The repair man actually replaced the transformer at no cost! I saved RM700!! Anyway, its not perfectly restored to its previous RM1400 condition, but at least my eyes won't burn out so quickly...what a windfall eh?
I went home, rested for a bit then went to Fahmi's house and met up with Amin there. Fahmi wasn't home yet, so we played with his super-fat cat while waiting. To cut a long story short, Fahmi, Amin, Harris and I went in my car to the Bangsar mosque to pray, then met up with Tariq after that. We all then went in his car to MegaMall for dinner- I love nasi dagang! We talked for a bit, walked for a bit, then we all went back just after 10 pm.
I talked to Boon Peng for a bit, arranged to meet up for lunch this Sunday, then ICQ-ed and wrote this log. Time to sleep....
Expectations for tomorrow: Hang out at the research lab the whole day, maybe go out with Michelle to buy fruit for lunch. Oh, and I can't post Pui Mon's letter until Friday 'cos I'm too busy to drive to the post office- sorry Mon!

Dumped my stuff in the research lab with Joe in the morning, then went to see William about his project- its not that hard actually. After that I went back to the lab to find HK, Li Hao, Ian & Choon Ling busy with the comps. We muddled around for a bit, Michelle called then at 10 we went for OS...this time I almost lost consciousness after 40 minutes- not bad! After OS was DataComm where we learned about a few Digital Signal Encoding Formats (e.g. NRZL, Manchester, AMI). I waited for Michelle at the finance counter, bumped into Bel and asked her whether she was free on Friday to which I got the usual 'I dunno' reply- its getting extremely hard to deal with ppl like that :(
Tried to find lunch in the kantin, but there was too many ppl so I retired to the research lab with Michelle and discussed with Terence, HK and Mary about the project. Michelle went off around 1, and HK, Terence and I went for kantin lunch at around 2.10. After that it was back to the labs, see Mary go home, then working on stuff- mostly Neopets! Aiyoh, this epidemic is going too far! Michelle came back around 3.30 and we worked on the C++ stuff for a while. She just went back, and I typed out part of this log- right now only me, Choon Ling and Ian are in the lab...oh, you can find an alternate Sue-Yi at ahmoi.com, try searching for her name :)
Around 6.30 we (along with Sue-Yi and gang) went to Jaafar to have dinner, then Choon Ling rushed home to tape Stargate for me while I sent everyone back to their respective homes (except Darren of course, who had to tag along with me to Choon's house 'cos we ran out of time hehe..we watched Stargate, then we watched a thriller called Living Witness or something like that- very realistic death scenes! You can see the guy turn around, and get an arrow shot thru his neck! And it looked so real! Anyway it was getting late so I sent Darren home, dropped by my old place to pick up all my stuff then went home to sleep.
Expectations for tomorrow:A darn long day, maybe go out with Fahmi, Harris and Amin at night for dinner. Oh and I MUST remember to post the package to Pui Mon.
Monday, July 30, 2001 (08:42 p.m.)
Fell asleep halfway thru Datacomm- I think I no longer have the ability to stay awake during 9 AM lectures...how sad. After DataComm was over me, Choon Ling, Ian and HK stayed in the research lab surfing, the connection was real slow but they managed to get some neopetting done heh. Oh, and I had lunch in the room too, and tried out the screwpine wheatgrass drink from the kantin- its not bad! Sorta like an air pandan drink heh.
The OS tute was a bit of a mess. As usual we didn't prepare any answers, and since I've been sleeping during the past few lectures I didn't know anything! Malu muka...
After tute I joined our project team at Mr.Lim's room for some discussion on our project- the others went to Ming Tien except for Michelle, who waited outside the door for us to finish. After that Michelle, HK, Li Hao and myself joined the others at Ming Tien, then Michelle and I went shopping for clothes for Mary while the others played archery. We found a possible choice at Urban&Co, but no S size so we're gonna look elsewhere. Anyway HK sent Michelle and I back around 4.45 and I went home. Tried to watch some more tapes but my VCR head is dirty, so can't watch anything :(. My sister just SMS me to say I can't see Bel tomorrow since they're going out with some friends to Klang, and I can't see them on Wednesday either for the same reason...major negative hit to my mood, man!
Expectations for tomorrow:Short day of classes, hopefully go out with Michelle to continue hunting for Mary's clothes...and later watch Stargate with Choon Ling since my VCR is out of order.

Sue-Yi's Birthday!
Got to watch Godzilla this morning- today he triumphed over an iron sphinx creature in the Middle East- always fun to see the big guy win! Around lunchtime I walked down to MPH to meet up with Amin, then we went to Harris' place to fetch him, then we all went to Putra Plaza for Fahmi's play- though of course we took a couple of wrong turns here and there, hey we had time to kill....we had lunch at the underground cafeteria while waiting for the show to start.
Fahmi's play was good, though a bit experimental- first time I've gone for a play where I know the entire cast and crew...they initiated an improptu forum at the end, which started out about independence then focused on ISA, hehe...I as usual kept quiet and didn't participate :(
We hung around for a bit after that, talked to Fahmi and the other actors, then went home. I wasted a couple of hours watching some more Star Trek eps, but had to stop because of some tracking problems with the tape. Did a little reading on DataComm, found out that someone sent me a Sircam virus mail- thanks to Yee Ying's recent attack I was a bit hesitant to open the document and deleted it.
Expectations for tomorrow:Hopefully get some good DataComm education, then outing to pyramid with CSE gang and Michelle, then OS tute with Mailini.

Went to UM with dad in the morning to buy my OS book- its always nice to see the UM campus, its always been one of my childhood dreams to study there..after that I went for a warehouse sale in PJ- they had all kinds of stuff there, even Episode 1 merchandise! I bought a pair of pants and trackbottoms. I saw a pair of corduroys which I wanted, until I saw the tag and suspicious design- yup, 'Ladies Corduroy Pants'. And it only cost RM15 too. Darn.
My cousin, her hubbie and kids were at my house when I came back so I played penjaga to the kids while they were here...somehow I think I'm very bad with little kids- babies no problem, but the moment they hit 3 years of age I'm lost! I don't know what to say or do, I'm just too shy!
After they went off I went for a haircut and bought milk for tomorrow. Came home, rested for awhile, finally finished watching an episode of star trek (still many more eps left). Talked to William and Georgina a bit, and Lee Mei Yee talked to me on icq- how rare! She's started Comp.Sains in UM, doing OS, Maths, CA and C, the lectures are in BM, her exams are in BM, but her books of course are in english. Oh dear, how sad :(
Expectations for tomorrow: Well I'm going to see Fahmi perform at Actors Studio, fortunately with Amin for company. Other than that its gonna be an uneventful day.
Friday, July 27, 2001 (4:45 p.m.)
Watched Jurassic Park 3 in the morning at home- its a so-so movie, I think it could have been more horrific, but I guess they toned down the violence for the kids. It was raining heavily so instead of praying at D'sara with friends I went to Subang for prayers. After prayers I rushed to kolej to see my CSE gang leaving for lunch at Ming Tien, but since I had work to do and told Michelle I was going to meet her I declined their offer to join them. I then went to Mr.Lim's room to get the key, but he wasn't in! I went looking for Michelle but she wasn't around either- I saw Bel but she was with her friends so couldn't talk to her. I talked to Gordon for a bit to pass time, then went one more round looking for Michelle, found her 2 minutes b4 her class, but just enough time to ask her some stuff and pass her the tau-foo-fa I bought for her.
I waited in the staff room reading my Data Comm book, then Darren,HK and the rest came back- yay! They went to the comp.labs to play NeoPets so I went to MUSA and hung out with Jason for a bit, made plans to tengok wayang on Wednesday.
A sad day for me today, but hopefully next week will be better.
Expectations for tomorrow:Not sure :( I might layabout at home or spend the day in the research lab, or maybe go out with Fahmi for lunch I dunno- its not easy being muram and poor (I got RM3 in my pocket)

Hung about LT1 in the morning to see Bel, but she came late so I saw her after class around 10 am. I gave her the Monash keychain and bookmark I bought for her, than after a bit of pestering she agreed to possibly see me on tuesday night- here's hoping :)
I saw Tirath for a bit in the lab, then went back to the research lab, watched Stargate, then went to see Ian and Choon Ling at the comp. lab, then we all went back to the research lab until 1pm. We went to see Michelle for a moment, but she had to see Gwyneth and couldn't join us for lunch. After she went off we went with Terence to eat Nandos (Subang Parade)- it was so pedas we had to eat Swensen's to cool off :) I went home after that while they went back to the research lab.
Upon reaching home, I slept- woke up for dinner- then slept again. Gosh I was sleepy! I actually slept from 4pm~9am!
Expectations for tomorrow: Spend the evening working in the research lab, possibly have dinner with the CSE gang.
