Watched Godzilla today- slightly different from the norm, today's monster was a giant megapede, which later morphed into a giant kumbang,..

I topped up my network access in the afternoon, then formatted my 30GB Hdd, took a couple of hours! Then, after installing win98,I decided to partition my HDD, which took a few more hours so I slept from 6~10pm, then watched Star Trek until 1 AM, and seeing as how my HDD has developed some bad sectors, I'll go Imbi tomorrow and send it for repair- 3 weeks no HDD! How sad...

Expectations for tomorrow:Sleepy Datacomm+OS tute followed by Imbi :(

What a long day today! First in the morning I went to kolej, dropping by Zheng Chi's house on the way to pick up my Dune3 CD's- gotta post them to Clayton for Simon to play ;) I reached kolej just in time for the DBMS lab at 10am, though we didn't get much work done due to some administrative rights problem in the comps, most of the time I was chatting with Mary, Kah Wai, Tracy, etc. After that I went to the RL for a few mins, then drove to Spectrum, parked my car and walked to Pyramid to meet up with Nina, Harris, Amin, Haz & friends. As usual everyone came late, but I got to meet Yu San & Fabian (now I got faces to attach to those stories I read about ;) I can't believe how much Yu San looks like Soo Ming- I even almost called her 'Soo Ming'! We had lunch at A&W, then went to a gift shop to get something for HK. After that they went to watch Moulin Rouge while Harris, Amin and I went to play archery- I played VERY poorly, which was quite surprising- and Amin played very well considering that it was his first time. Anyway we went to the arcade for a while, Amin & Harris played a football game, Amin lost, then Harris went on to beat the computer- some of the goals were really hilarious! Since it was already 3 something we decided to go home.

I went to the RL and continued d/l BG2 music, then went back around 3.40pm. Once home I continued burning CDs (I think I've burned 12+ CD's just to store all my d/l!)..had dinner at home then went for HK's party at 7.50pm. I got there to find quite a big crowd- Nina, Choon, Geraldine, Justin, Ian, Joe, some juniors, Sue-Yi, Kah Wai, Tracy, HK (of course), etc. Terence came a short while later, as did Darren, Yunita and Li Hao. Mary got a bit lost and almost didn't come, but eventually she made her way there haha. Everyone was busy BBQ'ing chicken and fishballs, and I apart from listening to an impromptu lecture by Nina on astrology I spent most of my time talking to Kah Wai, Tracy, Ian & Mary. Eventually once the party wound down I managed to get Kah Wai to take us for a joyride in his car- just me, Ian and Tracy (Mary went home :(). Choon (+Nina and Yu San) tagged along in his car at first, but we lost him somewhere along the way and he went back to HK's house. After a complete round of our 'race track' in Bkt.D'sara, my face hurt so much from smiling hehe. We went back to join HK and the others at the SS2 stalls, then after that we went for another round at Bkt D'sara, this time with Sue-Yi in the car as well as Li Hao in his Kembara and Darren, Yunita, Joe + juniors in Darren's Wira. This time we wound down the windows and my hair was totally blown out of shape- hilarious! Hahaha...we should make this a weekly event =) Well after all the speeding and hairpin turns we were all tired so I went home- I think I reached home at 2am...

Expectations for tomorrow:Fix my computer!Then maybe study, or sleep..

Stayed up late last night icqing with Mei Yee about her ASM, she slept early but I kept at it until I was finally done at 2AM- success! I slept till 10 AM, watched tv a bit, backed-up data, then went for prayers with Harris and Amin. After prayers we went to Bismi for lunch, talked for a bit- Harris wanted to watch Moulin Rouge tomorrow, I wasn't keen and Amin was so-so only...after a bit of debating we all decided not to watch it tomorrow with Nina and frens...good thing I didn't give in to peer pressure eh? After that decided to go Megamall, stopping at Bangsar on the way to order a fuel cap for Amin's Satria GTI. We played at the arcade in Megamall for an hour- I'm a lousy Time Crisis player :( We did get a chance to see Harris play this cool game similar to Time Crisis, 'cept your body movements are tracked by sensors, so you literally duck and dodge bullets- cool! Anyway after buying myself some guava juice we went to the mechanic, got the fuel cap, then Amin sent me to my car and I drove home.

Well since it was 7pm I just lazed around, backed up more data, called Tze Leong, called HK to wish him Happy Birthday!, then read Mei Yee's email saying she couldn't run the file- aiyah! So I made a couple of calls trying to get her phone number, but no luck. Fortunately she came online a short while ago and we're still trying to work out her ASM problem..:(

I just realised I got 2 assignments due next friday- not easy ones either, yikes! Guess I can't ask Bel out for Thursday then...=( Perhaps during the ball night since we're not going..hmmm...

Expectations for tomorrow:Big day! RL in the morn, followed by lunch with Nina, Hazwani & their friend, then more RL, finally night barbecue at HK's.

Thursday, August 23, 2001 (09:50 p.m.)

Woke up at 10am today- tested out my soldering irons to find out that 1 still worked- good! Then at 11 I went to BSN- the ATM was out of order so I walked back to my car and got my bank book, then walked back to find it working again- what a wasted effort! Anyway after a long journey trying to find parking at Pasar Rd, I started my search for the parts I needed for my BEAM robots- more than an hour (and a LOT of searching) later I discovered something sad- no solar panels OR small motors are sold here. =( Saddened, I went to Low Yat at 1.20pm and cheered myself up by finding DeepPaint 3d- a texture program I've been searching for for 5 months alredi...then I rushed to kolej and reached at 3.20pm.

Weng Kee wasn't around :( so I went to the RL, dumped my stuff, then went to see Mr.Ken and ask him about the solar panel- he told me to ask Mr.Lee in the Eng.Lab so I went down there with Choon and saw him with William, Bel, Wen Yung and a few others, so I shy shy a bit to ask him and settled for talking to William instead. Choon and I then went back to the RL, I stayed until 4pm then went back down to the Eng.Lab, talked to William for 30 mins, then when he went for lecture I asked Mr.Lee about the panel- he checked his catalogs and managed to find an entry for one. I went to the website and discovered its RM127! Seeing how I can order one from USA for RM18(without shipping costs) I think I'll order from USA instead. I walked Michelle to her car after her 5 o'clock class, then went back to the RL for a while, until 6.30pm when Choon and I went to the library to search for DataComm clues. At 7 something we came back to the RL, worked on the questions, d/l Baldur's Gate music(yay!) and eventually finished our work. Hehe I forgot about Mei Yee's ASM...I think I'll stay up tonight and finish it..

Expectations for tomorrow:Probably get started on the gallery page, go for prayers, relax..

Wednesday, August 22, 2001 (09:51 p.m.)

Reached kolej early for a change and studied ASM until OS started- Mylini lectured today, and I still almost lost consciousness after 40 mins or so...next time I'll skip class and catch some Zzzz...After that we had our OOSE prac which was like a free period- I spent it talking to Michelle while the others d/l songs, worked on OS homework, neopetted, etc. At 12 I went to the RL to eat some tapaued kantin food with Mary, then I started looking for some robot designs- reading all this assembly stuff has me in the mood to build some robots :) HK came a short while later and helped Mary out with her HTML.

At 1pm we had our DBMS class- ugh, boring as usual. Then we had OOSE lecture- boring again! After that I took a short walk with Michelle then decided to go for the following DBMS class- finally fell asleep during the last 5 mins hehe. This is the first Wednesday this sem where I was mostly awake- amazing! Anyway HK, Choon, Mary, Weng Ye, Darren, Sue and I went to the RL where I continued searching for bot designs- I printed some out and took them to Weng Kee for discussion, then after surfing a bit more- by which time everyone else had gone back 'cept me and Sue- Weng Ye called and said Elle was at 1 Utama, so I didn't need to drag Mary with me to KLCC tomorrow- great! So at 7pm I went to 1 Utama and bought the shirt, bought a spicy cheese bread pie, and went home- reached around 8.40pm. After watching Whose Line I went online, talked to Mon, Georgi, Tuck and KJ...I think I'm going to sleep soon.

Expectations for tomorrow:Finish ASM in the morning, then go to Pasar Road to buy robot parts, go to kolej and assemble them and finish DataComm homework..long day ahead.

Tuesday, August 21, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Woke up at 6 as usual, then thought aw heck, lets skip class today- then slept until 10am with the occasional call from friends wondering where I was (HK even decided to go back to sleep too since I was sleeping hehe)...I saw Jason at MUSA b4 going for the 11am DataComm class- I was a bit droopy at one point, but when I was wide awake Choon was asleep, and for a brief moment the reverse happened- I'll put up Inverse Theori on a page I'm planning to add to my pitas...it'll be up in a few days I hope. I stopped by Mylini's office to ask her about the ASM work I was doing, and she doesn't know anything about assembly! I was surprised, but settled for going to Kar Seng and he told me what I needed to know.

After lunch I hung around the RL with the CSE gang for a bit, then they all went out for lunch 'cept Mary and Weng Ye. Mary went home, and Weng Ye and I stayed in the RL until almost 1pm, which was when I locked up and went to the Financial Counter to wait for Yee Ying, then the two of us went in her Tiara to Pyramid- wanted to go somewhere else, but there's nowhere else to go! Perhaps next time I'll drive us to Megamall or something...we went to Oliver's and discovered that has turned into an Osim shop, so we settled for Dave's Deli instead. After that we shared a Maple Crumb Pretzel (very nice!)- in fact in was so nice Ying decided to buy another one to take home! While we were munching on our pretzel (and later I bought an ice-cream cone) we walked aimlessly around looking at all the shops, stopped by one to buy some slinkies for her friend, and eventually we left and she dropped me off at kolej at 3pm.

HK, Choon Ling, Ian, Kar Wai and Tracy were in the RL, busy d/l songs, doing work and neopetting- I read some ASM notes, then at 4pm decided to stop by the library to pick up a couple of books- I forgot to renew my card, so I got 10 days left b4 they cancel it- must remember to find the receipt and renew it. I went home, slept until 8 something, watched Stargate- quite good episode as usual...then did some more reading on ASM...quite powerful this stuff- can screw up your keyboard, etc. with just a few lines of code, unlike that harmless MIPS stuff we learnt last year. After accidentally messing up my keyboard(oops), I decided to come online and ber-ICQ sikit. Gonna sleep soon...

Expectations for tomorrow:More ASM, long day of classes, nothing really eventful.

Monday, August 20, 2001 (08:37 p.m.)

HK called me at almost 7AM this morning- apparently he didn't sleep yesterday and wanted to use the RL, anyway though I tried to rush thru my routine I only managed to get to kolej at 7.48. That's the problem of living so far away I guess :( I wanted to buy Sue-Yi a rose today, just for the heck of it (you know, the pink rose of friendship)but it seemed unlikely given today's schedule.

After breakfast in the kantin with HK and Joe, HK and I tried to work on Lab 3, then went for the DataComm lecture. I was relatively awake until Weng Kee started writing 1's and 0's on the board and then I konked out. Following the inverse theori, Choon Ling was especially wide awake whilst I was asleep.After DataComm HK and I didn't want to use the room since the APIIT's were there, so we went to the comp.lab...at almost 12 I went to wait for Yee Ying outside her class- my sister was having break next door to her, but she wasn't in a talkative mood so I tak kacau her...I waited until 12.16 then I gave up waiting for Ying and went to the kantin, bought some sandwhiches and stuff for HK and myself then went to the RL. Oh funny story- the MUFY ppl were having a charity sale and among the stuff they had was- roses! So I did manage to get my rose for Sue-Yi haha :) Anyway after a few mins I went to the lab, gave the rose to Sue-Yi and started the lab session- it was relatively OK I guess though I hate the way the pracs are prepared- very poorly done. I did manage to finish the work by today though and that's great :)

I saw Bel and Wen Yung in the lab for a minute after class, then went to the kantin with HK, Terence, Choon and Ian, bought some keropok for myself b4 going with Choon to the RL to join Mary. After I finished my food I stepped outside, bumped into Darren and Sue-Yi- we talked for a bit then I walked them to the outside stairs where we talked some more before Darren called Choon asking him to go Subang Parade- Choon said yes, so Sue-Yi rushed to the hostel to dump her stuff, while Darren and I met up with Ian and Choon at the lab- after some Neo-delays we managed to meet up with Sue, walk over to Choon's car, send Sue to Pyramid then to Choon's house to pick up some stuff, and then go Parade. There we ate at McD's, picked up Choon's joystick, lounged around MPH for a while then went back around 6.30pm. Choon dropped Ian off before we drove to the RL and camped there until now. I talked to Mon online for a bit, went to MUSA to see Jason, but since he was busy I sorta talked to Geraldine before he finished- then I went back to the RL. I feel like going to the SS2 pasar malam, but aiyah, so tired lar...tonight I must get started on the Lee's assembly language work..

Expectations for tomorrow:Stay back in kolej to do work- perhaps see Kevin and Ram b4 they fly off, or watch Stargate at Choon's place...
