Woke up late, watched Godzilla- today's enemy was a giant spider created by a deviant army commander- not bad ep. Later I went for lunch with Dad at Schlotzskys Deli in Bangsar, then went to fetch HK to go RL. We went there, camped for a while doing OS and DataComm (with me d/l stuff)- Choon, Terence, Sue-Yi and Darren joined us later and then around 6.30 HK,Choon and I went for dinner at Bidara. HK, Choon, Terence and I managed to finish everythnig except question 2, and it was very difficult to get any answers/clues from our Clayton friends, so we gave up on it. We worked on until about 11 something, which was when we all went home.

Expectations for tomorrow: Finish up OS, copy DataComm, urgh...tiring..

Saturday, September 1, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Woke up at 8am today, had breakfast, tapaued nasi lemak from Golden Punjab then went to kolej. Today was rather quiet, no CSE lecturers came at all, plus most of my d/l were uncompleted. I started searching for more eps to d/l, then watched a star trek ep while eating nasi lemak before resuming my studies of the OS book. Ian came around 11 something, he did the prac while I muddled around between studying and searching for stuff to d/l. Choon came at some point, he spent most of his time doing OS assignment, and so did I. Work work work....Sue-Yi and Darren dropped by for a while, and Kah Wai came too around 2.30 I think. He d/l some cool BMW films- they were awesome!

Anyway around 5pm we went to Carrefour in Kah Wai's and Darren's cars, Darren was a bit late so Kah Wai, Choon and I spent our time at the newsagents- lots of interesting games due to come out during summer (yeah!). Eventually Darren , Yunita and Sue arrived and we all ate at Burger King, then bought some biscuits at Carrefour. I gave in to the Mocha Freeze urge (leaving me with RM3 in my wallet :( ) and since Sue-Yi had a strong urge to play Need for Speed we (namely Choon and I) had no choice but to tag along. I must admit I would have liked to play too (only Kah Wai, Darren and Sue-Yi played) but it was great fun watching them play- Kah Wai with his crazy stunts, and Sue-Yi with her haphazard driving heh :) Fortunately for me Ian called and said he was leaving the RL at 8pm, and since we left the keys with him, we rushed to kolej at 7.45pm. Only Choon and I went to the RL, everyone else went back. We stayed there doing work (well I watched an ep of Friends and some other clips hehe) until almost midnight, then went home.

I'm quite awake now- not in the mood to do OS though :( At least I did most of the work today(hurrah!).

Expectations for tomorrow:Godzilla! Followed by RL until night.

Friday, August 31, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Overslept today- ended up watching Star Trek, followed by lunch at home, then prayers at D'sara. I had half a mind to pray at Bangsar, but I thought "Hey, it's not often I get to spend time with Amin & Harris, right?" so I went to D'sara, waited there as long as I could before going upstairs, and those guys didn't come! How sad....after prayers I dropped by Offex.net, and they were closed (they told me they'd be open on Merdeka Day).

Came home, packed my stuff and went to kolej at 3.20pm. I parked my car and walked past a girl who was standing outside the hostel gate- apparently the taxi driver she was talking to didn't want to send her to her dest.

Choon was at kolej, and I started reading a little bit of OS, then got distracted downloading stuff- I discovered a new prog called Direct Connect- its like Napster, but its for all types of files- movies, mp3, text, games, apps, anything! It's great! Darren and Cornel joined us much later. Oh, and there was no water at kolej today, so we waited for Sue-Yi to take her bath at Lagoon View before going off to Pyramid to meet up with Kah Wai, Tracy and Ian. Being the miser I am, I parked my car at Spectrum and walked to Pyramid with Cornel. Anyway we all met up at the entrance, went to Haagen Daz- I really didn't want to go today due to financial constraints, but what to do eh? I had 2 scoops of ice-cream, Choon Ling, Cornel and Ian had some of their special ice-cream dishes, Sue-Yi (whose idea it was to go Haagen Daz in the first place) shared a banana split with Kah Wai and Tracy had 3 scoops of ice-cream. Gosh, what a boring sentence that was...after that they all wanted to do stuff, so I bought a pen from MPH, walked to my car and drove back to the RL- Choon joined me a short while later after tapauing some McD's. He did work, I watched Star Trek eps, I did do some reading...but far too little :(.

Choon went off around 9.40pm to play CS with the others (plus HK), so I stayed in the RL, eating bread, studying, watching Star Trek, etc. until midnight. I came home, went online, and now I'm gonna sleep 'cos tomorrow I better go early.

Expectations for tomorrow: Long day in the RL- MUST finish up OS assignment ASAP.

Thursday, August 30, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Woke up at 9, then started burning CD's for Simon- gosh my old harddisk is slow! It took about 1.5 hours to burn 3 CD's....that's because my CDROM is faster than the HDD- sad eh? Once that was done I went to MPH, bought an envelope, posted the letter (RM18!!), bought nasi lemak from Deli Giant, bread from Mediya, then rushed to kolej. The Federal Highway was seriously jammmed, so I took the first turnoff I could, and rejoined Federal at the Asiajaya turnin, which was jam-free :)

Once I reached kolej I hung around the RL with HK, Hero and Ferdy discussing the group prac, and alternated between going to comp.lab to see Tracy, Kah Wai, Sue-Yi and Darren and going to RL to discuss prac. At around 6pm Hero and Ferdy went home and I started d/l stuff again. Then at 7 something HK, Choon, Sue-Yi, Darren, Cornel and I went to Bidara for dinner- its much better than Jaafar I think. Sue-Yi wanted to play Counter-Strike after dinner, so how can we say no to that cute face eh? We all played for a couple of hours- Sue-Yi, Darren and I on one side, Choon, HK and Cornel on the other. It was quite fun hahaha....Sue-Yi accidentally killed Darren, Darren accidentally killed Sue-Yi(twice!) and I managed to get away with some machinegun stunts heh ;) Well after the game I went home, icqed with Georgi for a bit- oh and I saw Vivian online, asked her whether she was free next week and guess what? She'd gone back to UK a couple of days ago! Darn! I should have seen her earlier when I had the chance, but I thought she was going back next month like the other UK ppl..oh well better luck next year I guess. I spent midnight copying files from my zip drive- so much for celebrating merdeka...

Expectations for tomorrow:Do OS assignment, go for prayers, then go kolej buat kerja, eat ice-cream then buat kerja lagi...

Wednesday, August 29, 2001 (10:50 p.m.)

Decided to oversleep today, left my house at 9.30am and managed to reach the comp. labs at 10.05- only Michelle and her sister Melissa were there though, and after a short while the others came along and we started our long prac on Rational Rose- its a complicated tool, and Michelle had to leave at 12, and as usual Andrija misinterpreted her statement "Sir, I'm sorry but I have to leave now" and said "Ok class Michelle has asked that I end the class early today, so what can I say?" then he talked a bit more then made fun of Michelle again (aiyoh, make her sad only :(). Anyway after that HK, Choon, Kah Wai, Tracy, Mary, Ian and I went to Pyramid for lunch, and after a bit of discussion (which resulted in a coin toss) we had KFC...then rushed for DBMS, we were about 20 mins late hehe. After DBMS Terence, HK, Mary and I went to see Dr.Hiew and he told us about a new rule for the RL keys- we gotta sign in and sign out for them each day. So since we use them each day until night, I gotta sign in and sign out at 9 each day haha.

We decided to go for OOSE lecture- he just repeated what he said in the prac earlier! What a waste of time! After OOSE I skipped the following lecture and went to the RL with Terence finish up the prac I was doing with Mary yesterday- only took me 20 mins! Hurrah! After that I was busy d/l IE6 and Netscape 6.1, did some more python work, and d/l until about 6.35pm which was when Choon, HK, Mary, Ian, Sue-Yi and I went to the MPH to check out Grease Night...we were concerned about getting suckered into some ice-breaking games, so we hung around outside for a while, then went upstairs and peaked into the MPH to see a small crowd, so we decided to go in and kacau our lecturers a bit- most of the BUSIT lecturers were there, we hung around Mr.Lim mostly. Kah Wai and Tracy were there too. Anyway after half and hour or so I waited at the entrance with Zheng Chi until HK and the rest came out. Then HK, Mary, Choon and I went for dinner at Jaafar- wow, Mary ate food! She ate naan! This semester is so weird...hehe:) Mary went home after dinner and the three of us went back to the RL..I had a bad headache so I queued some d/l, rested for a while, kacau'd Mon, rested, watched a couple of eps of South Park, d/l songs,...pretty much it.

Expectations for tomorrow:Post CD's to Simon, maybe get haircut, then off to kolej for the rest of the day..

Tuesday, August 28, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Got to school early today and loafed in the RL b4 DataComm- Ian dropped by and stayed in the room while I went for the tute. I don't know why but I was so so tired and my eyes hurt like crazy just trying to stay awake! Anyway after class I was too tired for OS so I skipped with Choon Ling and stayed in the RL- I managed to renew my library card, then went to the kantin with Choon to tapau lunch to the RL. Since it was 11am alredi I went for the Datacomm lecture, didn't really pay much attention though I was wide awake (thank you EyeMo!), after class I ate lunch in the RL, then started work on the JSP.

At about 2.30pm I made a slight breakthrough, then lazed about in the RL with Ian, Darren, Sue-Yi and Giant(sorry I forgot his name)- I discussed Lab3 work with Mary- went to see Mylini a few times to ask her questions about the prac- it was so cold in the RL today I had to pinjam Mary's sweater, though I must admit I looked rather silly in it ;) Then later in the evening I asked Pui Mon to call me, and she had problems trying to call me,Ian,or her KL house, so I thought hmmm...maybe she's being blur....so I asked Georgi to try it out and guess what- it worked! So I spent an awkward 10 mins or so trying to talk to Mon and Georgi, which was tricky since there was so much noise in the background hehe (Georgi so loud! Hahahaha)- Sue-Yi talked to them for a few mins too, though I doubt they cry themselves to sleep each night since they saw her last ;). Anyway around 7 something we all went for dinner at Jaafar, then I sent Sue-Yi to LagoonView, then sent Darren to his friend's house, then went to Choon's to watch Stargate. Today's episode was so-so only, and after that I rushed home.

As usual Pui Mon was bathing went I went online, so I waited a while, then she called me around 11.50 and we talked for a few mins....then I wrote today's entry.

Expectations for tomorrow:Long day =( Maybe I'll skip classes and go home early ;)

Monday, August 27, 2001 (10:49 p.m.)

Left my house at 8am today, 'cos I spent about 15mins taking my HDD out of its cooling case so I can take it to Imbi. I reached kolej just in time to see Weng Kee and Mylini b4 Data Comm started- today we learned about generating the CRC, though I was darn sleepy when 1's and 0's appeared =(. Talked to Bel for a minute b4 her class- I've decided to give up on asking her out anymore- her attitude just screams disinterest...oh well. After that we had a 2 hour break during which I had kantin food in the RL and d/l some theme songs- everyone went to Medan for lunch 'cept me and Choon at 11.40am, Tracy stopped by for a short while b4 going out for lunch, and I went to see Yee Ying at about 12.25. We walked to the financial counter, talked for a few mins, then went to the kantin to buy some snacks b4 going back to the RL since Yee Ying wanted to take a look at the place hehe.

OS tute was quite OK really- I hung around after class with Kah Wai and Tracy b4 going to HK's house- I reached about 2.45pm but he was in the shower- I looked at the road and noticed a green puddle on the ground- opened my hood and saw my coolant was spitting out of a leak in my radiator hose! I didn't want the pressure to make the hose burst, so I opened the radiator cap (yes, I know its hot AND dangerous, but Dad's done it b4 in worse conditions, so monkey see, monkey do...) and a LOT of coolant shot out of it, with enough force to push my arm back! Luckily the spray missed me completely. Anyway I called Dad and he left the office to come over, so in the meantime I lepaked with HK outside his house, filling up my radiator with water. Dad came, took a look at it, then we drove to the mechanics nearby- they replaced the hose + rubber cover for RM35, it wasn't surprising really judging from the rust and worn insides of the hose. In fact it was so rusty that it was easier to break the clips holding the hose ends, rather than unscrew it.

After that I went HK's house, fetched him, sent his brother to his mom's office nearby, then we went to Low Yat- searched for his SCSI card and it was unavailable, surprisingly. We went to Imbi and sent my HDD for repair- 3 weeks no 30GB for me =( and we did manage to find some SCSI cards, but we weren't sure which was the right one for HK's CD-writer, so we decided to tapau some food and go home.

I stopped in Bangsar to fill up petrol, and since my face is in really BAD shape (pimples everywhere! I've never had it this bad..) I walked down to Georgetown to see if there was anything else I could use, but decided not to buy anything. Then I went to Offex.net- my printer still wasn't ready so I walked to Ezy Video, watched almost a whole episode of Friends, then went home.

I've set up a skeleton of Win98 on my comp for the next 3 weeks- just netscape+icq+winamp. That's enough for me hehe.

Expectations for tomorrow:Long day in kolej(8am~8pm) followed by Stargate at Choon's.
