Godzilla was rather lame this morning- today's opponent was a half twister, half giant shrew thing- lame! I finally managed to get Yung Sing on the phone, but he hadn't slept a wink last night and couldn't go out today :( After that I walked down to McD, I was almost there when I got a terrible cramp in my left leg...I had to hobble the remaining distance. I'm quite shocked- I used to walk >10km easily, and suddenly a short couple of km (downhill!) can cause a cramp?? I really should start exercising. Boon Peng and I went to Harris house, and from there Amin drove the 4 of us to 1 Utama in his Mercedes. We browsed all the model shops, bought our movie tickets (Enemy at the Gate at 1.45pm), had a quick lunch at McDonalds then watched the film. I must say I had low expectations but its really quite good (though there was a sudden increase in romance scenes near the end, which the movie could have done without)...I felt inspired to play CS hehe...in fact we arranged to play together this Tuesday night. We walked around 1 Utama a bit, drove around Bkt.D'sara- Amin took the Kiara road at 160kph!! Then we went home- Boon Peng sent me back. I fiddled around with my game a bit, had dinner, then called Yung Sing and talked for quite a bit...after that I slept.

Expectations for tomorrow: Kolej in the morning, possibly the whole day.

Saturday, September 22, 2001 (09:22 p.m.)

Lazed about the house this morning- I've been relaxing too much lately, I really should start studying :(...I went to the kedai foto around 11am to buy a disposable camera, but it costs more than RM30! So I settled and bought a 12 roll of film (RM9! So mahal), worked on my comp, called Halina at 2pm then went to her place shortly after that. Got to meet her dad and see her new computer- wah, quite cool lah! I love the bag too- its not bulky like most notebook cases. She's especially overjoyed with her comp, its like me getting a brand new version of my car hehe...we copied all my Thundercats, Transformers, Macgyver, Seinfeld and Frasier to her hdd, munched on some chocolate biscuits, goreng pisang, kuih, minum teh at tea-time...oh and I showed her Bangsar Adventures too- she was quite amused, though its a pity the beta I installed is still unstable..I did manage to narrow down the cause of some of the bugs though(yay!). She still has lots of complimentary tickets, but I could only buy 3- I don't think I got time to watch that many movies b4 exams...we chatted, watched an ep of Frasier and a couple eps of Celebrity Jeopardy, hehe she loves Connery just as much as I do- pity I don't have time to show her the rest of the eps, since they are still in kolej. It was getting late, so her bro took a picture of us, then after a bit more talking outside I went home, I think close to Maghrib. Tried calling Yung Sing again, no luck!

Expectations for tomorrow:Godzilla in the morning! Followed by lunch+movie in the afternoon with Harris & gang.

Friday, September 21, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Gee, I better start seeing Sue-Yi more often (the other two seem to be too busy), 'cos I'm going thru a 'no fave lil girl' phase which is way too long. Anyway I woke up around 9am, feeling dandy (glad that medicine finally kicked in), watched some tv, read some Gamasutra articles (check em out), went for prayers after which I had lunch at Bismi with Harris and Amin. Then we went in my car to Low Yat, where I didn't find Pool of Radiance :( but managed to buy my CD-R's and Premier League Football Manager 2002- thought I'd try it out for a short while before the weekend is over- next week is supposed to be work work work, as much as possible before uni starts again. Anyway I managed to send those guys back to their cars and get home by 5pm, which was when I started burning some data off my hdd, watched some star trek eps, pretty much lazed about I guess.

At 9pm I called Halina, then after a few mins Amin came to collect his wallet (he left it in my car by mistake), then I called her back- her poor dad was looking all about the house for her (Sorry uncle!)and gave up the search hehe...a few mins later she called me back :). I'm visiting her tomorrow afternoon, probably the last time I'll see her until December..hmm I guess I'd better bring a camera since I don't have any pics with her. After that I watched Sliders a bit then called Choon (glad he managed to finish DataComm), Mary and Terence (they got quite a bit of project work done) and Zheng Chi (he's got a new camera, but no events to take pictures of!)..couldn't get Yung Sing though, joker always out playing CS ;) Hmm...quite a few CSE ppl (Tracy, Kah Wai, Sue-Yi, Yunita, Darren, Ian and Joe) have gone Genting this weekend, pity I can't go since this weekend is quite important downtime for me before the project rush starts next week- besides, I got important ppl to see ;)

Expectations for tomorrow:Programming in the morning, Halina's house in the afternoon, then more work in the evening/night.

Thursday, September 20, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Woke up at 8am today, took my antibiotics, watched tv, finished off my bread then went back to sleep. Choon called at 10.15am, which prompted me to get dressed and go to kolej, stopping at TMC and BP on the way to buy some tissues and orange juice. How Khang, Mary and Terence were in the RL doing OOSE and JSP, I went to the kantin to try and buy food, but there was nothing nice so I didn't bother- met Choon at the foyer, then talked to my sister and Jason at the finance counter. After that it was back to the RL to do DataComm, Choon joined me for a bit, I tried doing some JSP as well....Michelle came at 1 something to finish up her prac, then at 2pm HK, Terence and I went to the kantin for lunch, tapaued food for Mary and went back to the RL. Michelle went off at 3pm, I walked with her downstairs then sidetracked to talk to Giant and Weng Ye. Then I lazed about the RL doing JSP (much progress made) but in the end we all left about 4.45pm. My JB relatives were at home, but I was quite tired so I just slept until 10pm, by which time they had gone back :(. I made some calls, arranged an outing with Harris, Boon Peng and possibly Yung Sing and Amin as well this Sunday(since I may be visiting Halina on Saturday if she gets her comp tomorrow).

Expectations for tomorrow:Nothing much, just prayers then lunch with Harris and Amin.

Wednesday, September 19, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Decided to sleep in today..I need the rest..my throat isn't getting much better and I know why: those tablets I got yesterday were LOZENGES! The dispensary lady is starting to annoy me- last time I went there she told me my eye ointment was for my ulcer, luckily I knew better. Next time I'm going to ask the doctor to explain the medication to me personally. I've only got 2 lozenges left- I sucked on one this morning instead of swallowing and turns out its quite effective..now if I only I hadn't swallowed 4 yesterday =(

I reached kolej 10 mins late, but its ok since Andrija wasn't supervising the lab- the comps were giving me problems, so even though I wanted to help Michelle with her work, I had to finish up mine first(my C++ is very rusty) so I went to the RL and joined Mary, Choon Ling came for a few mins, then Michelle joined us later and she and I worked on the prac. At 11am I went looking for Bel, as expected she wasn't where she was supposed to be but eventually I found her in the foyer with Wen Yung and my sister, gave her present, listened to their discussion for a few mins, then went back to the RL. Ian was there, work was slow, Michelle went out for a while and came back at 1pm, by which time Ian and I had finished. I went with Mary to the library, talked to Geraldine for a bit- she wasn't feeling well yesterday and went home early, and she's doesn't feel like going out today either. Michelle and Mary went for their classes, Ian and I went to print our stuff in the lab and chat with Darren, Yunita and Kah Wai. Ian and I passed up our work, then went back to the RL with Kah Wai to watch more Jeopardy, Seinfeld and Transformers until 3pm, which was when they left for class, while I went to Bangsar. I called Halina- she's feeling better (yay!), but of course her night curfew is still on, even for someone like Geraldine(her kawan baik from high school), so too bad..but anyway we're all ill anyway, so not much point in going out. Oh, I got a strange SMS message, apparently from Michelle- she forwarded it to me, but of course I didn't know it until I read the whole message hehe:

I was wondering if I could stay with u for a couple of days? Everybodys so angry with me and I really need a friend.

Weird huh? Anyhoo I went to Bangsar to pick up some lozenges, bread and soyabean- no tau foo fa though :(. Had a nice hot cuppa tea at Restoran Sharifah too. I came home, slept until 7.30pm...nobody called so I guess my ideas for a house-party with the CSE gang got cancelled =(...they went to Choon's place instead for convenience. I watched Drew Carey, Whose Line, Sliders...called Halina towards the end and talked for our usual half hour- she's only getting her comp on friday, so tomorrow's plans to kunjungi rumah dia are gone, so I guess I'll go to kolej and do DataComm or something.

Expectations for tomorrow:Finish DataComm either at kolej or at home, depending on my health.

Tuesday, September 18, 2001 (11:59 p.m.)

Woke up at 4.30am this morning with swollen tonsils- it hurt so much I couldn't sleep very well at all after that...I woke up at 6 then went to the doctor just before 7am...he gave some antibiotics, fever medicine and some tablets for my sore throat. Then I thought I'd tapau something for breakfast from around Bangsar, but it was too early so I went to kolej, hung about the RL until 9am, which was when I went for DataComm...not bad! I actually learned something about Tutorial 8! Pity its only due in 2 weeks though...:( After that I went to the RL, dumped my stuff then went to MUSA to look for Jason- Geraldine was there working on her assignment with Pei Chyi, so I stayed and learned a thing or two about powerpoint hehe...Geraldine was dressed in some really cool formal wear today, pity I didn't have my camera with me ;) My sister dropped by and we talked about her sudden running for president thing, apparently its because Bel has decided to go Australia next year to do double degree-Electrical Computing + Physiology...can't wait until she develops bionic technology stuff hehe...I'm glad she's finally found a course she's interested in :) Oh, Yee Ying called around 10 something to cancel our lunch plans, but its okay since I wasn't feeling so good anyway.

It was close to 11 so I went for DataComm with Geraldine, I was totally lost during the lecture (again!) =(..after that I went to the RL...gee I can't remember what happened next, but I think Ian, Choon, Mary, Kah Wai and I lazed about the RL for a few hours, (Ian, Kah Wai, Joe and me) went for lunch, then HK come in later after Mary left...he stayed for a short while and ciaoed at 4 something. Darren, Sue-Yi and Yunita came too to finish their OS work, then at 5.20pm we left and I went around looking for Geraldine ('cos she was supposed to let me know at 5 whether I could send her home or not)- she was nowhere to be found, and it was too late for me to go home, so I stayed and watched Star Trek eps until 7pm- Choon dropped by for a couple of mins at 6 something I think. Which reminds me, if you ever get a chance d/l Saturday Night Live's Jeopardy- its gila-gila funny!!!

I was feeling kinda beat so I stopped by Restoran Sharifah in Bangsar for a roti canai and teh-o, then tapaued some bread for later. I came home at 8pm to find that my family had gone off to Penang until Thursday, so I gembira a bit and tengok-tengok tv, watched Stargate- Sliders is showing on Hallmark at the same time (9~10pm) so I gotta figure out a way to watch both shows..:( Plus Voyager is going to be shown on Hallmark on Sunday nights, so it looks like I'll be busy recording again ;) I watched some Seinfeld eps, rested for awhile, called Halina- oh dear she wasn't feeling well and couldn't talk to me :( I tried to wrap Bel's birthday present, and my sucky gift-wrapping skills proved to be quite a problem...I almost called Joshua to ask him help me wrap it! Gosh what a desperado I am eh? Anyway I eventually managed to get the job done- whew! I think I got into bed at 12am.

Expectations for tomorrow:Buat OOSE prac in the morning, give Bel's gift to her, then go home early to rest, and perhaps go out with Geraldine and Halina (though I seriously doubt it)

Monday, September 17, 2001 (11:50 p.m.)

Woke up seriously late today- 9.30am! I can't stay up anymore if it results in waking up late, and I missed DataComm some more..I'm so upset I missed class. In fact, by the time I reached kolej, it was 11am, just in time to see everyone leave. I also had to lug all my photo albums along with me, since I didn't want them to spoil in the sun. HK, Choon, Ian, Darren, Giant and Terence were in the RL doing work, I went to ask Mylini whether I could ciao early from class today- she said OK if I finish my work fast...unfortunately there was a bug in Ferdy's code which prevented it from merging with our other code, so I spent valuable time fixing it- ah, biasalah when you consider that group work is difficult to integrate. Giant and Terence helped me out, lucky they had done their part earlier. The prac wasn't so bad, but by the time I finished it was 2.30pm!! I rushed to my car and went to Halina's house- there was a jam, and I was hungry and stopped to tapau A&W, so by the time I reached her place it was 3.30pm.

I met her mum- she's pretty nice, and then Halina and I talked while I had my late lunch. After that we looked thru my albums, she laughed at scrawny young Harris and cute young me hehe...then we had some yummy goreng pisang and looked thru her albums- wah she was so adorable in primary school! Though I admit there was a short awkward stage in Form 1 to 3- hairbands do NOT suit her. Form 4 onwards- chun girl, definitely. Well after looking at all those albums, it was time for me to go at 7.08pm, I dropped by my old place sekejap, went to Chettynad Bangsar for some hot Teh-O and thosai for dinner, went to GeorgeTown to buy ear-drops, then came home, cleaned my car a bit (the smell from Saturday night's outing is killing me) then lazed about at home. I rang up Yee Ying to ask her out for lunch tomorrow, then I called Geraldine to ask her about our outing with Halina- amusingly enough Halina called while I was on the h/p with Geraldine, then after I finished talking to Geraldine and tried calling Halina back, Mary called my 019! We talked about the prac, then I finally managed to get thru to Halina- we talked a bit and settled on going out either tomorrow or Wednesday, depending on Geraldine's schedule. Wah not bad I talked to 4 different girls on the phone today hehe...of course they are all just friends, so don't get any ideas ppl ;)

Expecations for tomorrow:Datacomm, then lunch at Perks with Yee Ying, then maybe go out with Halina & Geraldine.
